WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Dairy farm families and their employees work yearround to provide excellent cow care and produce wholesome milk. The FARM Workforce Development Program equips dairy owners and managers with tools to enhance their safe and thriving work environments. In 2020, with approval from the NMPF Board of Directors, FARM released Version 1 of the FARM Workforce Development evaluation after a pilot and public comment period.

This voluntary evaluation focuses on human resources and safety best practices and was developed in collaboration with the FARM Workforce Development Task Force. The evaluation provides important assurances to the supply chain and helps farmers identify what will be most useful to implement within their operation and track improvement over time.
