Adi people discuss the impact on their lives of the Dam war between India and China at the Himalayan border.
Based on seven years of exclusive filming, this portrays the matriarchal Haenyeo (women of the sea) of Jeju Island, their ancient practice of breath-hold diving in cold seawater and about mulsum (breathing underwater) that represents a desire and temptation that could not be contained. In 2016, they achieved UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity status.

Jairo Fuentes is the young community leader of Tamaquito village in the forests of northern Colombia where nature provides everything they need. For centuries, they’ve hunted in the mountains, foraged for fruit and reared hens, sheep and cattle, but the Wayúu way of life is being destroyed by El Cerrejón, the world’s largest open-cast coal mine which extends for 700 square kilometres. The coal is exported all over the world. In Germany, the United Kingdom and Israel, in the Netherlands, Turkey, Japan and the USA, coal from El Cerrejón feeds the power stations which generate the electricity to keep our lives fast-paced, bright and warm.
