ABOUT ME Hi!, My name is Natalia Laura Brizuela-Pires, I was born in the south of Argentina, in a little town called Comodoro Rivadavia located in the province of Chubut, internationally known as Patagonia. I grew up next to the sea, swimming in the cold Atlantic waters next to the whales, penguins and seals. Since I was very little I used to pay attention to the visuals around me more than anything. I was very frustrated during the first years of elementary school because I could never focus or pay attention to the teachers during the lectures. When reading a book, I was always distracted by the size of the text, the colors, the photographs and all the possible combinations. When I was 9 years old, my dad got my siblings and I a new computer with all the newest software and a color monitor, which was the newest technology at that time. I learned how to use “Microsoft Word” in less than a week, and after that I “created” and “designed” my first magazine. It was an 8 page magazine with a lot of information, graphics and pictures about “Saving the planet”. It was very entertaining...I did it for one year...(Next time I go to Argentina I’ll try to find a copy in my parents storage). Even if I knew that visuals were my passion, I decided to go to school and study Biochemistry. I loved it, and i did it for 5 years. One day I went to visit my sister in Buenos Aires, who was studying Architecture, and I helped her build a model and some boards for her final project. That night I called my dad and I said “Dad, would you kill me if I switch careers?” He said “Do what makes you happy so that in the future you don’t have to work”... now I understand what he meant. I started my Graphic design classes in 2008, and In less than 4 years I graduated with honors from the University of Palermo, Argentina.

15 minute designs Name of project: #15minutedesigns Client: N/A Year: 2014 - 2015 I’m not a big fan of social media or addicted to posting on different platforms, but I discovered through Instagram a new way to express my feelings without writing too much. This project is something that I came up with just few months ago, and it is basically doing a graphic at the end of the day in only 15 minutes. After that whatever I did and feel comfortable with, is what I post and share on the different social media platforms. I got tired of the selfies and decided to post my own art instead.
