Likes Snow boarding, building his bike, taking his BMX to the skate park. “ Even though I study film at university I enjoy creating pieces of art in my spare time.” Joe Curtis. 20. Newcastle. Studies science at Newcastle unviersity. Loves watching documentarys and films, going to gigs, reading magazines and meeting up with friends. “ My one passion in life is playing the drums, Travis Baker (the drummer from Blink 182) is my inspiration and idol.”


Hayden Simm. 24. Birmingham. Studies new media at the Birmingham University. Likes reading about english culture, skateboarding and going to gigs. I love listening to music and my favourite band at the moment is mumford and sons and the drums. “ My dress sense is inspired by the music that I listen too.”

Alex Railton. 28. Bournemoth. Works as a technician for BT. I love computer games, and watching SCI-FI documentaries. In his spare time he likes to visit gallerys and exhibtions. “ I do like some branded clothes, however not everything I own is a brand, it depends if its worth it or not, if it is i will buy it, if not i wont.”

A series of short films will follow 8 young men across England to document their current perception of men’s fashion and challenge them to be more ambitious.

The documentary will be filmed in the following cities; Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and London. The street casted models will be filmed Birmingham wearing a piece of the current Christopher Shannon collection in their everyday environments and how the public attitude differs across the UK. “The idea behind this documentary was to challenge people’s responses to unconventional forms of fashion design. I really wanted to provoke a public response, hopefully inspiring a new generation of trend setters” - Christopher Shannon The event at the Vinyl Factory presents the exploration of wearing unconventional fashion in dayto-day life through such channels as gaming and documentary. Christopher Shannon wishes to challenge a new generation of style-minded individuals in his film.

Working full time at Topman, however ideal job would be in the media industry.

Unemployed/Student. Likes photography, tattoos, screen printing and computer games that include pokemon.

Likes screen printing and typography, piercings and tattos, going to festivals and hanigng out with mates at the pub.

Works at Urban outfitters in covent garden part time through the week.

Full time Plumber/ mechanic.

Interning at the daily mail wanting to become a journalist. Likes music, writting, reading magazines, going to festivals and getting tattoo’s. “ In my spare time i play the guitar in my band called Dorcia.”

I am Interested in sports, I like to play rugby and fooball at the weekends. I also like to hang out with my mates in the pubs and meeting new people. “ In my spare time I do a bit of modelling for my mates at the university of creative arts.”
