URBAN DESIGN & DEVELOPEMENT

Korat is considered a historical city. With the prosperity of the northeastern region. But now it is abandoned, forgotten,especially around the moats and the surrounding streets unsafe made Korat like a sleeping giant The improvement of the city of Korat is considered to revive the giant again. Both tourism Economy and Safety Improved well-being of Korat people under the heading of ECO CITY

ถนนโพธิ์กลาง Located between the five railroad intersection and the shrine of the Thao Sunaree Monument. It is one of the most important business districts in the past of Korat. Both sides are lined with unique wooden houses and the market. Nowadays, the city is silence because people move to live far from the center of Korat city because of the congestion. เคาะ ประตู ปลุก โคราช is to bring the city back to life again in the topic of the ECO CITY.

CONCEPT “เคาะ” Restore the environment and improve the dilapidated buildings. To create activities that promote the city of Korat. “ประตู” Korat is a gateway to the northeast which is the center of trading. “ปลุกโคราช” Awakening the giant Korat to be a quality city that promotes economy, tourism, learning and culture. 02

The concept of area development is TOD, we have proposed to develope old building and design new building for a variety of uses which are residences, commercial offices and public areas to support the use of the public transportation system and attracting more investment to the area. 04

Sampeng district, Songwat, Talatnoi are te adjacent area with a short walking distance and can be connected to the Chao Phraya River. It is a valuable area and memorable old community but there are no connection between three areas, no order and cannot access to the waterfront area The design will be solving and creating the area to be useful and keeping the uniqueness of the district. 10

Returning to the past through “time gates” Go back to the days you used to live from the old city. Back to peace and adventure through the war and the golden age of Ayodhya.

A place for filming movies Drama by Prommit Studio, a national filmmaker such as Somdej Phra Naresuan. Aside from being a studio, they want to open the space to public for visiting. The space will be divided into five zones with different stories which are Rp. 120, Buddha, Petch Phra Uma, Hong Sawadee and Ayutthaya.

ZONING The highlight of the studio will be at the end of the site to make people who want to get to the farthest part of the site.

CIRCULATION Yellow - The main road is the route that will take visitors to all zones. Brown - The secondary route Dotted Line - Tram way with tram services for round trip

SERVICE There is a way for cars and for transporting stuff for filming. Including a service building.

The activites are telling a story about Thai the culture such as dressing up, molding sand, rowing a boat, watching Khon performances.

ย้อน ู่ มัย ง าวดี The story of the war between Thailand and Myanmar with a salvage of Thai independence, namely King Naresuan. His story of a black man who escaped from Bago. There are the scenes of Wat Maha Sangkhachan and Yodia Market The Hongsawadee zone will be connected with Ayodhaya zone to be a consistent story.

Activities in this zone are watching elephant show, feeding elephant, riding elephants tour and walking around the Yoda Market. Visitors can change to Ayothaya costume to take pictures with variety scenes

Makkasan in the past was a main train station area. Makkasan is now the center of a variety of travels in Bangkok . This place collects people travel memories from the past to present.

SITE LOCATION

Makkasan Factory State Railway of Thailand Bangkok On an area of 312.5 rai Developed to be a green area and parks for the city. Makkasan is an area with a long history. This project is to capture images of each building and design the way people seeing them. Dividing the zone to 6 train stories, namely HISTORIC LINE, NORTH LINE, CENTRAL LINE, FOREST LINE, RIVER LINE and HIGHLIGHT LINE.

MULTI PURPOSE AREA A space for activities such as aerobics and events.

HISTORIC LINE

The railway has a history by going to any provinces of Thailand. The railway has a story in the past which brought the memory to the area. The impression of this area is the 1922 building which has architectural value, with a unique and relatively perfect condition.

This area is the first area to be found from the entrance to the Rajaprarop side. Therefore, the open space in front of the building can be used for relaxing and sitting The area around will be a walkway and bicycle path surrounded by tree shade. There is also an area where you can see the railroad that is still passing by which is the highlight of this area. For the building usage, the activity was transformed into a railway museum to recall the area.

NORTH LINE

Northern railway is a special railroad that designed to go through a tunnel. The impression is the Makkasan swamp area, in which King Rama IX initiated the Chaipattana turbine to treat wastewater.

This area therefore has a variety of activities such as runway, bicycle paths, waterfront areas, rock climbing and resting area.

CENTRAL LINE

The central point where all the trains will pass by. The position that is on the center of the site. The area between the two old buildings is a openspace that gives a clear view of the city in the present day. These two old buildings will be renovate to create new activities. Both sides of the

openspace will covering with the shade of Chompoo Pun Thip. This area is the center of the site and has a special atmosphere in any seasons.

FOREST LINE

Many railways in Thailand were built to pass mountains, forests and beautiful nature. The impression of this area is the valuable old tree, such as Chamchuri, Guinea pig, Tamarind.

This area is therefore a very shady area for resting, strolling and be the lung for the site. The atmosphere of the area brought the feelingof \ walking on a hill or natural area.

RIVER LINE

River line will bring the feeling when the train cross rivers and canals.

Users can use the area to relax, sit and watch the city. They can hear the sound This area is adjacent to the Makkasan of waterfall for relaxing. swamp, which is a peaceful area with garden zone. There was a belief about the large banyan trees in this area.

HIGHLIGHT LINE

The structures is a unique point of each place. The bridge is connected two sides of the park. The bridge is located at the point where people and cars pass by which could be the attraction. It is also a connecting path for runners and cyclists that want a longer route.

Grand Canyon Kiri The project area is at Huai Kapi Subdistrict Chon Buri, formerly a limestone quarry which has the concession expired and not yet concession expired which will expire year 2021 and year 2027 The highlight of the place is the scenery,but not safe.

SCOUT CAMP & PUBLIC PARK

Why is it a scout camp? Today’s children have a different learning style. School providing education and activities Scout camp is one of the mandatory activities. The project area meets the Scout Camp standards. Therefore, it is suitable and be able to develop to international activities which can support children from other countries since in the future there will be an airport trains arriving in the area. Why do you have to park? In the area within 8 km., there is only small parks which have no long distance running way and the activity area is not enough for the growing population.

PUBLIC PARK

The public section, will be open to the public use all the time. Activities that occur in this area include a children’s playground, a sports field, a resting area, mining views, multi-purpose field, indoor sports building running and cycling paths in this area.

CAMPGROUND & PUBLIC PARK The highlights of the project is this area can be adjusted for activities from a time when there is no scout activity. It would be another activity for the public to use. From building a boat to rowing a duck boat. People can come down to experience the atmosphere of this mine.

CONCEPT ะดวก บาย ไปไว Easy,Comfortable,Fast There are users, both Thai and foreign office workers around Sathorn. This area is very crowded during the day and evening. Causing this road to not support enough people and unsafe. Sathorn should be easy to travel, comfortable, shady and people can come and go quickly. In order to better distribute people from the road. Therefore is the origin of the concept.

LA CONNESIONE

is an Italian word which means connecting. As the site has a beautiful view and the surrounding context shows the history and life of this city. The Adda River area is also one of the beautiful area, but these areas cannot be connected. Especially the island that was built in the middle of the water. It is unable to use. This concept is to connect all the rivers with historical landmarks and the connection between land and the island. The design will bring an activity area for citizens to use. Also, considered to promote tourism to the city as well. 40

Due to the green area is decreasing. Creating a design that focuses on the public areas of the people in the area of Hua Lamphong Temple The site is surrounded by a solid wall on all 3 sides of Too fast too sleep, Ashton condo and the Montien Hotel. There is no connection between the site and the surrounding area. The design will activate the wall on all 3 sides. The activity on the site is suitable for people in the community and is built as part of the wall, such as a multipurpose yard for exercise. The concept is to designed part of the wall. Including leisure seats, tree planting area and community service center that can organize multi-purpose activities and generate revenue for the community.

The design of the entrance of Hua Lamphong Temple to the side of Surawong Road will be taking into the security issues of the area by organizing stores, shopping carts, street stalls. Using walls as the main design guidelines. The main material in the design is wood to make homy atmostphere as an identity of the area. Increasing the interaction between the wall and people. Starting from the entrance of Hua Lamphong Temple is Food Wall, School Temple Wall is Fun wall, Too fast too sleep wall is Announcement wall, Montien Hotel Art Wall, Surawong Entrance Green & Signage wall With all of the aforementioned elements it is the catalyst for interaction between everyone in this area to create sustainable development

01 GIANT BAKES CAFE GARDEN internship

Located at Soi Phahonyothin 2, originally being a residence which the owner wants to change to a small cafe that also uses the garden area of the house. The design is based on the original form of the garden, no additional filling. There is a small sitting area to relax by keeping the existing large tree. Tree fence will separate the house area from the cafe and other trees will be resistant to shade. 1

02 YEN ARKARD HOUSE internship

Located at Soi Yen Akat, Chong Nonsi, with the owner of the land having a long narrow shape area and want to have a green area intervening with the house because there is not much space. The idea comes from the “cut & fill” which is cut and fill the space according to the usage. With a garden and pond as the center of the house, visible from every room because each room will rise in half by one floor, so it feels more space than before. This house is the first draft submitted to the homeowner. And was chosen as the type that was actually created. P’ Oui, the owner of the company, gave me and my teammate the opportunity to design this house. Therefore, it is the first time that the design has been really created. It was very impressed.
