Dynamic Life Chiropractic A Neurological Approach to Health Concerns

by Allison Gorman

Science tells us that the brain controls and coordinates virtually every vital bodily function. It does so through billions of nerves that extend from the brain stem, through the spinal column, and out to every organ, tissue and cell in the body. This is the nervous system.

“The nervous system is so important that it’s the only system in the body completely encased by bone—the head and spinal column.” —Gabriel Waterman, DC

“It tells your heart to beat, your lungs to breathe and your food to digest. It is so important that it’s the only system in the body completely encased by bone—the head and spinal column.”

Because the nervous system is powerful and intricate, and also extremely delicate, it needs to be checked and maintained regularly for optimal function, health and healing, he says.

“It’s actually fairly common for the bones of the spine to shift out of proper alignment or stop moving like they’re supposed to,” he explains. “This puts stress, tension and pressure on these nerves, which interferes with the communication from the brain to the body. This is called a subluxation. Subluxations lead to dysfunction, which can be expressed by a multitude of symptoms because the brain controls everything in the body.”

This is the science and philosophy that Dynamic Life Chiropractic was founded upon, Waterman says: The relationship between the brain and the body is essential to the body’s ability to function and restore and preserve health.

“When we ask our new practice members if they’ve ever had their nervous system evaluated, most often the answer is no,” he says. “That’s why we evaluate the function of your spine and nervous system on your first visit.”

The in-depth evaluation begins with a nervous system assessment using state-ofthe-art technology and specific chiropractic x-rays that are analyzed and measured down to degrees and millimeters of alignment.

“It is this thorough evaluation that allows us to get to the root cause of your health concerns by providing you with neurologically based, specific chiropractic care,” Waterman says. “By restoring the communication of healing messages through very specific chiropractic adjustments, your body will operate at its very best and heal from the top down and the inside out.”

Because he believes that knowledge helps with the healing process, education is a priority in the practice and its mission in the community, he says. “If you have any questions or you would like to learn more, we would be honored to serve you.”
