The Beacon Recreation Center

Full day camps offer a new theme each week with games, crafts, and other fun activities. Campers may also swim at least once per week at a nearby pool. The camp is for ages 5-12, a morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided. Each family will receive a parent’s packet at registration outlining activities, the overview of each week, discipline policies, and a copy of our Standards of Care procedures.

Splash Pad on Tuesday, Swimming on Wednesday, and Field Trips on Friday. (Weather permitting)

You are SHORE to have a good time as we take a DEEP DIVE into this summer camp week! Explore coral reefs, create sandcastles, and discover lost treasure.

ALL ABOARD! Get your gadgets and gizmos ready. With sparks of creativity, campers will be inventing new games and designing the unthinkable!

*June 20-23 Around the World Hold on to your hats because we are going AROUND the WORLD! This week at camp, discover new places, create cultural masterpieces, and play worldwide games! *Excluding Juneteenth Holiday.

3….2….1… BLASTOFF! Attention space cadets! Camp Beacon needs YOUR help this week to battle the intergalactic enemies known as: imboredians. Build spaceships, take on space aliens, and create crafts that are OUT OF THIS WORLD!

We are going back in time! Come enjoy our Jurassic adventure as we soar like a Pterodactyl, stomp like a T-Rex, and run like a Velociraptor. We are getting pre-historic!

Welcome to Pirate week but wait Mermaids are also occupying ye camp! Watch out for clues and be the first one to find the ‘X’ that marks the spot. Search for treasures and sing songs on the raging seas. With ships and treasures this week is one for all!

Get ready to spring into action! This week, we will roll, tumble, and jump through obstacles. Each day will be filled with games and activities fit for a super spy!

The end of summer is here, but that’s not going to stop us! This week, Beacon’s Last Ride will enjoy crafts, activities, sports, and games that will keep them moving and grooving until the sun goes down.

Splash Pad

The Beacon Recreation Center has a beautiful splash pad with covered shelters available for rent. Splash pad use is available for members or enjoy access with a $8 day pass.

Mini Camps Basketball Camp

Basketball camp will help participants learn to improve their footwork dribbling, passing, and shooting through exciting drills, games and activities.

Volleyball Camp

During this mini-camp all aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving.

Cooking Camp

Create yummy culinary masterpieces. Learn the basics on measuring, preparing and putting dishes together. Bring your appetite because we’ll try what we make!
