Naturallythinking We custom produce products for Spa’s, Hotels, Aromatherapy and Retail brands across England, Europe, Asia and the USA producing ranges of premium and own brand toiletries and cosmetics as well as custom products for “one off” events.
Choice We can work closely with you to produce a custom range, or, as many of our customers do, you can buy Naturallythinking products unlabelled and have your own labels applied as your brand. This is often an ideal solution for Spa's and Brands who needed additional products in their range quickly and without development time.
Convenience We can help you with the design and production of your labelling, using our own in-house design team and label presses. Our large inventory of packaging solutions means we can often have the bottle or jar of your choice with closure, direct from stock. We can bottle
Ethics In line with our philosophies, we will only produce products with ingredients which are not tested on animals and are Vegan friendly. We will not undertake work for customers who wish us to use ingredients which have been tested on animals or ingredients which we deem to be harmful or unethical.
Quantity We can produce your from 1 to 10,0000 of your products. We are flexible to your requirements.
Ease of Re-Ordering Of course we are happy to work with you individually to create the perfect solution for you, but once you are up and running, we provide you a unique log in area on our website, where your custom products will be available to purchase online exclusively to you. Formulation Some customers come to us with a clear definition of the product they wish to create, often they have been “making it on the kitchen table” for many years and now want to scale the product up to meet their demands. Others have been using our bases and adding ingredients, but would now like to produce the products ready blended by us, whilst others are starting from completely scratch.
Your Formulation If you already have a formula, we can simply take your formulas and upscale them into production. We produce your finished product in bulk or ready bottled in your chosen packaging, labels can be applied or you can have the product unlabelled. We are flexible to your requirements. We normally prefer to use our own packaging if we are going to bottle and label products as we know we have the equipment to fill these bottles and jars and we also know that these bottles are jars will work for your product in terms of seals, pumps, leakages and compatibility.
Spa Design For others, especially Spa’s the need is for a range of products which can fulfill their needs, both for usage in treatments and for retail. Our solutions are ideal for this situation, we can create and design you blends, bases and treatments which can be delivered in bulk containers for use in treatment rooms or retail packaging for your consumers.
Hotels / Boutique Hotels We supply many hotels, normally boutique hotels that would like a brand identity with high quality products whilst fulfilling their environmental commitments. For many boutique hotels we have designed the product labels, created a range of bathroom toiletries and then use a combination of bulk containers and refillable bathroom products to keep costs down, create a high quality image and create a brand which then leads to a secondary sale of retail products from the hotel. The refillable nature of many of our containers keeps environmental costs to a minimum as well as costs.
Packaging Uniquely we hold over 2 million bottles in stock with over 3 million closures. This allows a wide choice of packaging options available direct from stock. We use standard bottle neck sizes of 18mm, 20mm, 24mm and 28mm which allows for a flexible and wide ranging stock of closures which are unique to Naturallythinking. Our bottle sizes range from 5ml to 1000ml and we specialise in PET Plastic and Aluminium packaging for environmental and quality reasons. We can also arrange for bespoke packaging for your product, embossing of lids, preforming of plastic bottles with logo’s etc., however please be aware that unlike our standard range of packaging which is available with no minimum order, any customised packaging has relatively high minimum orders normally in the range of 10,000+ units as well as setup and mould charges.

Legislation We will help you through the processes which need to be achieved in order to make your products legal for use and for sale within the European Union. There are laws which cover the claims made on the label, how the ingredients are displayed, toxicology reports and displaying of sizes and best before dates.
Label Claims The product is your product and therefore it is up to you to decide on the text which appears with the label, along with usage guidelines and any precautions that need to be taken. We always advise that if you have any worries on the claims which you are making on the label you should seek legal advice in order to safeguard yourself from making claims. The information which you place on your label is governed by the Advertising Standards Authority (www.asa.org.uk). You must be careful not to overstep the mark with the claims on your label as you will then technically be classed as a medicine if you make a medical claim for your product and this is then governed by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency).
Ingredients (INCI) & Allergens / Sensitisers In order to comply with EU legislation your ingredients should be written in Latin on the label. This is an internationally recognised standard and ensures your ingredients are understood throughout the world. Your ingredients should be listed in descending order (starting with the biggest ingredient first) and ending with the smallest ingredient. Ingredients under 1% can be listed in any order at the end of the label. Certain ingredients such as essential oils contain Allergens / Sensitisers which are natural components of the ingredient, these also need to be listed seperately on your label. For example Lavender Essential Oil (Lavendula angustifolia) contains the allergens Geraniol, Limonene and Linalool, therefore these would be listed at the end of your inci listing in order to show they are in your product. It is ok to also highlight this on the label, so as not to confuse the consumer who may think you are adding an extra ingredient. Often this is done by adding a star (*) after each oil and denoting the listing with “occurs naturally in essential oils�.
Toxicology Report Under EU legislation each product needs a toxicology report. This report needs to be signed by a qualified individual (as defined under EU directives) to produce a toxicology report. The report is based upon your ingredients and their percentages. We can produce these in house for you using our own toxicologist. The toxicology report is also best backed up with an MSDS Sheet (Material Safety Data Sheet) for your product and a file which is known under legislation as a PIP (Product Information Pack). The pack will also contain information on good manufacturing practice, details of batch productions, a copy of your label, details on your packaging and an area to note any customer feedback / complaints, known issues and reports as well as your Toxicology report. To keep your PIP up to date, each batch which is made needs to be noted within your PIP along with details on the ingredients in that batch. If you make any revisions to the label a copy of the revised label in the PIP will ensure you comply with legislation.

Sizes, Weights and Measures We will fill your product to the level which you indicate to us. We use volumetric filling machines which fill to a pre-defined level accurately and consistently. In order to comply with laws you need to ensure that your label represents the amount of product which is contained in your bottle / jar, so as not to mislead the consumer. This counts with both under and over filling. There are certain signs which need to be displayed on your packaging to fulfill your packaging needs and one of the most useful of these signs is the “estimated sign”. Best Before Dates All products if you want to put them on the retail market or give them any life will need to contain some preservatives. The preservative system is matched with the ingredients to give the product a fair shelf life which will prevent mould and bacteria growing within the product. We will formulate a preservative system as part of the design which normally gives 12 months shelf life to your product. We find this is a nice balance of a sensible shelf life, without using large amounts of preservatives in a product or using preservative systems which are very natural. We can of course make products with longer shelf lives, but you have to remember the longer the shelf life, the larger the preservative that must be present in the product and therefore normally the “less natural” the product is. You can also choose to use the sign which is designated as use within x months of opening. This is often less committal in date terms, but has other legislation surrounding its use.
Other logo’s / trademarks / claims If you have claimed accreditation for certain products or have certain organisations you are members of then this can obviously be placed on the label. Organisations such as the Vegan Society, Fair Trade and Soil association are common ones, but it is your obligation to ensure everything about your product meets their definitions, we will manufacture what you ask us to and it is your responsibility it meets the conditions of any of these organisations.
