BRAM WOODCRAFTING
Two week workshop
The program includes a comprehensive introduction to wood theory, hands-on joinery exercises, an overview of machine operations, and the opportunity to craft a small product that participants can take home.
“IT ALL STARTED
WITH WORK TABLE FROM DESIGNING TO THE MAKING OF PRODUCT”
HANDS-ON JOINERY EXERCISES
The hands-on joinery exercises were one of the most engaging parts of the workshop. We started with basic saw and chisel exercises to develop control and precision, which laid the groundwork for more complex joinery techniques. I practiced traditional methods like dovetail and mortise-and-tenon joints, focusing on creating strong and precise connections. This experience gave me a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and patience required in woodworking.
MAKING A SMALL PRODUCT
The culmination of the workshop was designing and crafting a small product. I chose to create a ledge and a stool , applying the techniques I had learned throughout the sessions. Completing this project and taking it home as a tangible reminder of the workshop was incredibly rewarding.
WOOD THEORY
The workshop began with an insightful session on wood theory, where I explored the unique properties of wood, including its grain patterns, durability, and suitability for various applications. Learning about different types of wood and their specific strengths helped me understand how to choose the right material for a design project.
AN INTRODUCTION TO MACHINES
The introduction to woodworking machines was both exciting and informative. I learned how to operate essential tools like saws, planers, sanders, and routers, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. This segment of the workshop boosted my confidence in using machinery for future projects.

One week workshop
The AVD intensive course is a combination of one week program on AVD theory and AVD masonry. Combining theory and practice. This course covered the structural design of vault masonary along with integrated principles of construction, and includes hands-on sessions on the construction of arches, vaults and domes.
Setting the Scaffolding
INTEGRATED PRINCIPLES OF CONSTRUCTION
In addition to the theoretical framework, the course delved into the integrated principles of construction. This included detailed discussions on material selection, load distribution, and the role of design in creating structurally sound arches, vaults, and domes. These lessons bridged the gap between theory and real-world application.

AVD THEORY
The course began with an intensive focus on AVD (Arches, Vaults, and Domes) theory, where I explored the principles of structural design and the engineering concepts behind vault masonry. This session provided a deep understanding of how these timeless structures achieve strength, stability, and elegance through geometry and material efficiency.
Dome Building with team
The practical sessions were a highlight of the program. I gained hands-on experience in the construction of arches, vaults, and domes, learning step-by-step techniques for laying bricks and shaping forms. These exercises not only refined my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the craftsmanship involved in traditional masonry.

COMBINING THEORY AND PRACTICE
What made the AVD Intensive Course truly enriching was the seamless integration of theory and practice. Applying theoretical knowledge directly to hands-on construction helped me understand the nuances of vault masonry, enhancing my confidence in designing and building such structures in future projects.

VOLUME ZERO COMPETITION Tree House 2024
The Tree House would be the primary residence for 2 individuals and the area of the proposal should not exceed 300 sq. ft built up. Proposals may consider spatial flexibility fulfilling all the needs of their users. The Space program for the proposal must include but is not limited to spaces to play, rest, work, eat, cook, clean, sanitize and unwind. Participants are free to add any other function to the Tree House proposals.
USER - TREE - SURROUNDING
Design inspiration begins when these 3 interacted each other . USER - Young Volunteers Helping to build a sustainable community. TREE - Standalone.
SURROUNDINGS - Sustainable volunteer community, Forest, Town Hall, Work place. So, Iam Questioning myself How to enhance the situation. I dont want to disturb the Tree at the same time to make connection to its context and to fullfill the Users Activity.
Came to understand that there is a need for ‘change’. Design Of Tree house should be Temporary Structure and Can be Changed and Experimental Over time.
Hence Creating Structure Which are Segregated units again that units can be Dismantled, Rotated, Adjusted , Opened and Closed. Changing According to the Situation of the place
Structure Can Be Adjusted According To Any User,Tree,Surroundings.

HALT-Challenge to design a bridge as a community stop
The challenge is to design a bridge that will become a public destination while making a significant contribution to enhancing the social aspects of the local community.
The bridge design can be inspired by the culture and character of the city. The contextual restraints of the site must be taken into consideration while designing. The environmental impact of the bridge design must be minimal. There is no restriction on the structural type of the bridge. A brief detail regarding the construction and material must be included in the proposal.
The aim of the design is to inculcate a narrative in the bridge design. The bridge is to be designed for pedestrians and cyclists only. The bridge can operate on multiple levels but its impact on the viewscape of the existing city must be analysed and documented. The purpose of the bridge is to incubate social interaction in this public space through strategic design interventions.
USER - BRIDGE - CONTEXT
Design inspiration begins when these 3 interacted each other . USER - Pedestrian and Cyclists.
BRIDGE - Landmark, Floating , Modular, Alternative Technology
CONTEXT - Queen’s Borough Bridge , River Crossing, Parks, Mixed Setttlements, Road and Pedestrian crossings.
So, Iam Questioning myself How to enhance the situation. I dont want to disturb the Existing condition at the same time to make connection to its context and to fullfill the Users Activity.

COMMERCIAL
I was involved in preparing schematic designs, design development, and proposals for commercial building. The challenging part was solving the food court which is at the junction of commercial and working on the multiplex was quite interesting.
Developed the conceptual scheme during the initial stages, focusing on introducing innovative elements to apartment spaces, particularly in terms of interiors and façade design. The aim was to create a fresh approach that balanced functionality with aesthetic appeal.
APARTMENT
Worked on the initial design and schematic development for the project, which primarily featured 2 BHK, 3 BHK, and 3+1 BHK apartments. Most of the apartments followed a typical floor plan with a unified design language. A central core served as the service hub, shared by two apartments per floor, ensuring functionality and efficient space utilization.
I was part of the team preparing the schematic presentation for a public building located at the intersection of the Surya and Suma lines, known as the Brahmasthan. The building features earth, plaza, and sky-level plans, with spaces designed for sports, amenities, and serving as a pavilion for large gatherings.
‘House of Nation’ The history of Lithuanian Revival. The space will be accessible to the public during the day.Public space dedicated to the educational activities-Temporary exhibitions, gatherings, workshops etc will be conducted in the space.
To maintain topography of the site which seems natural, Public indoor plaza in different levels.Functions apart from public plaza, some part is ‘House of Nation’ and Foyer
Cold climate in this demand a strong design strategies to protect from the climate.Cube is the best option for the building which is having maximum volume, But less exposure to sun.Functional spaces are well lit with sunlight
Ascending of external ramp which carved the volume leads to the top of the building. People can see the whole city from that space.Ramps are used for exhibition space seasonally.
