Anti Library

Shinjuku, where the Anti library is located, is the place where the world's high end hi-tech and well-preserved old cultural assets co-exist and develop together in a very mixed way. This project considers the hybrid and the synergy of the new and the old. Creating harmony between the existing environment and making the building blend into the environment. Passages created along the pedestrian crossing can be utilized as an extension of the sidewalk, or as a square in the city center, taking into account the surrounding circumstances of busy urban areas and time.

Robot's interactive systems allows it to interact with gestures such as approachings, vows, nod, shake one's head, giggle and make expressions.

when searching books or online search, users can simply ask or touch screen on top of the robot. robot can also help tourists near Shinjuku for information.

Networking

Through Networking of the robots, prevents colliding of the units, and it helps build the community of people by connecting and sharing informations of reading and borrowing same book or match same reading taste. By adding artificial intelligence to the role of the traditional library, it provides new and hybrid elements to help meet knowledge in a different method. Anti Library can provide newer experiences and relationships between humans and Al, which can help more for the human community as well. The robots, welcome the user 's first meeting and act according to the user's choice. The robot can analyze the reading pattern of the user and recommend Boole, kinds of media, or music through stored information. If a user wishes to create a book club or find people who are reading the same book or having a similar reading taste the robot can help in making a community.

Museum SAN bus shelter Temperature of the day

SAN SHELFTOo

This project takes place in Wonju, South Korea, Where one can feel the difference between seasons more clearly than anywhere else. In other words, it implies that visitors to the Museum SAN may have to wait an hour or more for a bus in heat or cold, depending on the season. A long wait at a typical bus stop will make visitors uncomfortable. The bus stop 'Temperature of the day' is designed to provide them with a temperature suitable for the changing seasons and weather.

During summer, spring times a part can be detached for breeze to get inside.

The starting point and the end point of a visit to Museum SAN

Weather and temperature have a significent effect on person's mood. 'day's temperature' provides a positive experience for visitors to the Museum San by providing the right temperature for the weather.

The bus stop is the first place visitors come to the Museum San to complete their visit. So filling the beginning and the end with a pleasant experience is the role of the bus station. The bus stop 'Temperature of the day' is arranged as shown in the picture above. It is based on a relatively gentle slope and opens wide and allows visitors to feel relaxed through open spaces. In addition, it is the best place to reduce the cost of construction of concrete foundations and to minimize damage to nature.

Winter view of 'Temperature of the day. door is closed to save heat inside.

Summer view of 'Day's temperature'. door is opened with sliding wheels inserted in the structure.

Two spaces, divided and combined

The design concept of is a small mountain surrounding the Museum San. The triangle as a geometric figure means the mountain, and the roof of the zinc panel is made up of two spaces that can be divided into A-shaped frames.

In the winter season, utilize two separate roofs as one space, by using the internal stainless steel furnace to provide a warm relaxing space, visitors can enjoy themselves by waiting for the bus. On the other hand, in the summer, we separate the two roofs and open the space. Visitors can enjoy the cool breeze and view the beautiful surroundings through open spaces. Visitors can think again about what 'san' means to us at the bus stop 'Temperature of the day.'

Used achromatic-based materials to create beauty as a new space. This allows the shelter to always exist in harmony in an everchanging environment through the circulation of the four seasons. At the same time, it is not simply worn out or colored with time, It enables change. Most of the materials are nonflammable, minimizing the risk of fire, while at the same time, the inside is equipped with fire protection equipment to prevent the risk.

Vitalization

This project takes place in the future, after the reunification of Korea. The aim was to reconnect the main streams of transportation in East Asia by locating the main hub of hyper tubes in the demilitarized zone also known as DMZ, stood there for decades as a symbol of the division and severance,

the DMZ is environmentally very valuable for wild lives, thus the hub is shaped to have the least contact with the protected area of ground.

Poles connecting electric circuits

Steel frame Electric transister pole Transparent supporting panel

Transparent solar cell

Composition of the solar panel on each surface is as shown above. When sunlight touches the surface of the panel, Solar cell started to collect heat and create heat energy. During this process, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate(EVA) protects the solar cell as light rays penetrate the panel. Heat energy is then converted into electric energy through the solar transistor. After a temporary charging of the solar panel, electricity moves through the poles (circuits) connected throughout the whole tower.

The Solar panel modules absorb the heat on the surface, and creates energy. Inside the solar cell and the electricity created by sunlight is made into electricity by solar transistor. The coil of the station accumulates electric energy collected by solar panels. Hypertube starts to charge when it is docked with the main coil.

The Unification of transport network in East Asia:

By placing a transportation hub in DMZ, which has been dividing Korea and Asia, thus can finally connect the overland networks in East Asia When South and North Korea become united, all the disconnected land routes will be connected again and DMZ will be the last terminal for all traffic networks of the continent. Hyper tube is the future mean of transportation which displays maximum efficiency in speed. This new mean of transportation is 10 times faster than present trains, and this can completely change the ordinary life routines of people by carrying people around the continent within a day. Although present trains can carry more people in one body part, hyper tube can carry a lot more people at the same time because of its speed. This indicates the massive potential of hyper tube station as major future transportation.

The Unification of transport network in East Asia: By placing a transportation hub in DMZ which has been dividing Korea and Asia, We can finally connect the overland networks in East Asia. DMZ, as it is located at the center of East Asia (ChinaRussia and Korea-Japan), has interrupted the land transportation flow in East Asia.

When South and North Korea become united, all the disconnected land routes will be connected again and DMZ will be the last terminal for all traffic networks of the continent.

The skyscraper Vitalization is a building shaped to minimalize its existence in DMZ for its special characteristics of the environment, the largest forest in East Asia. For the reason being, we thought of an idea of Solar panel modules, which absorb the heat on the surface, and creates energy for the use of the building, and terminal. This process happens inside the solar cell and the power created by sunlight is made into electricity by a solar transistor.

Electricity collected from the surface moves to the top floor and goes down the core cylinder to the main coil at the very bottom. The coil of the station accumulates electric energy collected by solar panels.

the hypertube trains boarding system

Train is stationed at the platform and gets charged while docked with the core line. Passengers board on and off the train.

After the doors close train descend along the rail and is rotated around the core without colliding with other trains.

Each train are undocked from the core and transported to the rail facing the direction to the next destination of the trains, forming a systematic platform.

As a part of Samsung's Olympic marketing program, Samsung Galaxy S7 studios were introduced globally and especially in Brazil where the Olympic was held. In the total of 11 venues were selected, most of them were in the very city center. I was involved in the first phase of the project from selecting the venue, to the final operations of the studios (the product introductory exhibitions). Since Cheil and Samsung had little time for numerous constructions the shape and building of the studios were in modular forms of black frames and the same experiencing zones in each box. some of the props were reused after one another.

Wall plans

The role I had in the project was from draft flooring plans, layouts, to the construction managing, vendor managing. it was necessary to attend meetings between in both Korean and Brazilian vendors. Later this project was announced and awarded with Campaign of the Year from Samsung.

Schedule for the opening dates of studios

There were 11 venues in total for the Olympics Studios, i was involved in 9 of them as a Cheil HQ brand solution pro. i was given the role of finishing 3 of the studios in Rio, Megastore, Barra, Leblon studios and later worked on Porto Maua project with senior. cordinating both Brazilian vendors and Korean vendors at site.

Creating showroom settings in IKEA is basically creating a person who lives in the room. before anything designers would think of a person and make a living situation of a person. for this room setting, i imagined a young lady living with a dog. and then create a mood board and detailed story behind her. works in ikea is more focused in details and really physical work. touches on details makes customers, visitors understand the personal identity with in roomsettings. As a interior designer in IKEA it's very importatnt to inspire people with strong visual work and also creating details for visitors to reflect on their living situation and give them new solutions that they didn't think about.
