Notes:
Parents/Guardians These badges are only a guide to the types of activities we get up to but not everything. Not all activities will result in a badge or certificate but we hope they will encourage young people to progress, grow in confidence and try out new things.
Most badges are designed as part of the UK Junior Navigator Programme but for some badges like Swimming and Cycling these can be done outside of the unit. So if this is the case we ask your child to bring evidence into the unit and they can do a quick show and tell so that a leader can sign the badge or activity off. If a child wants to do something particular or perhaps not listed please let us know and we will try and build it into the programme when possible.
Co-ordinators None of these badges are set in stone so please feel free to alter to ability or to fit with your community. These are only a guide. Please feel free to use as you wish.
Other Badges If you’re child has completed badges with other youth groups we are more than happy for you to put them on any Navigator Uniform or Camp Blanket you might have. We like to recognise all childrens achievements so please feel free to display them appropriately. Just leave a bit of room for all the fun things they will get up to here as well. UK Navigators 2014
