THE OLYMPUS The city’s best kept secret
Project : Casino Hotel Location : Panjim, Goa Typology : Hospitality Area : 27,800 sq m
NEED FOR THE PROJECT In the present scenario of globalization and commercialization, India has grown rapidly in the recent years. Although the city has grown in the recent years in terms of infrastructure required, there has been a continuous need of luxurious space which could incorporate world class level of accommodation. The country attracts thousands of visitors and tourists every year from all over the world they get the perfect glimpse of the spiritual infrastructure of the city but the things they suffer the most is the accommodation and to develop an effective space in the hotel which would become a perfect destination for living, meeting, party, as well as recreation to the people in the city.

Nighttime Character of Olympus. But light, both natural and artificial, can be manipulated by the design to mark special places and to give a place with special characters. At night, artificial lighting in buildings is the only factor that provides comfort, both to fulfill the role of use and visualization of buildings. In addition, lighting can interpret the relationship between mass, form, and detail.

[6] Axonometric Split Section This axonometric section cum elevation illustrates the relation between the spaces inside to outside. The extroverted design addresses all the basic consideration that are essential to avoid any sort of design failures. The floor slabs marked in blue in color are integrated to one another wherever it is need creating a connectivity between the blocks and privacy wherever necessary . However an overhead bridge connect the two block at the 6th and 7th floor level establishing a scenic view to the swimming pool.

CONCEPT
CORE 2
Conceptualization of a luxury suite. Almost all high-end hotels boast about their impressive suites, but only a select few of these rooms get the accolade of being called the most extravagant of the bunch. Luxury suites aren’t a new phenomenon, but the caliber of this top room category debuting at upscale properties worldwide in recent years is another level altogether, according to Jack Ezon, the founder of the luxury travel company Embark Beyond.
Conceptualization of a Standard suite. Once a private residence, it takes up the entire 26th floor and gets bragging rights for its floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase 360-degree views of the city, including Central Park. The suite has three bedrooms, a spacious living room, a media area, a full kitchen, and a gallery with a grand piano; design details include gold leaf murals at the entrance and Venetian plaster walls.
Why Olympus? Besides being able to give an idea of the state of architecture, light can also act as an element. Light from the sky is media that can penetrate and pass through the view of human experience in producing architecture. The big picture resembles the Olympus of the Greek Mythology appealing for the users inside and to the viewers outside of the building.
Conceptualization of a Toilet Space Once a private residence, it takes up the entire 26th floor and gets bragging rights for its floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase 360-degree views of the city, including Central Park. The suite has three bedrooms, a spacious living room, a media area, a full kitchen, and a gallery with a grand piano; design details include gold leaf murals at the entrance and Venetian plaster walls.

DESIGN STRATEGY Most gambling enthusiasts will tell you that casinos differ from other hospitality venues in that they have no clocks on their walls and no windows. That is so because operators want people to lose track of time, not stress about external commitments, remaining 100% devoted to their gambling activities.
Casino walls should not feature anything that isn’t gambling-related or does not advertise an event happening on the venue. The less promo material present, the better. Minimal advertising fosters a sense of intimacy.
Velvet reds, timid yellows, and warm browns are dim and inviting. They also give the illusion of street lights and night-time, which gets players more in a betting mood.

Continuous Surface The envelope of the Incubation Center transcends the traditional architectural categories such as wall and roof. Like a yurt the wall becomes the roof, which becomes floor, which becomes the wall again.
Pattern as climate screen
Elevation 02
By using state of the art technology and simulation capacity we have calculated the thermal exposure on the building envelope. Due to the wrapping and twisting geometry the thermal imprint on the facade is continually varying in intensity. The thermal map ranging from blue to red reveals which zones do and do not need shading
Thermal Impact By translating the climatic information into a facade pattern of varying openness we create a form of ecological ornament that regulates the solar impact according to thermal requirements. The result is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional pattern and fabrics from the yurt. Both sustainable and beautiful
