AN ART STUDIO AND GALLERY
AREA- 1.5 Acres
TYPE- Focal Building
ACADEMIC YEAR- 2021, 6th Semester
The project aimed to create an Architectural Sculpture on Shoe Island that would connect people with nature. The main objectives were to create a prominent landmark, minimize disturbance to migratory birds, and attract them to the site.
The Building's Form is determined from circle and cylinder with harmonic proportions. It resembles an architectural doughnut and utilizes exposed concrete and glass as materials.
The art studio and gallery represents a PRACTICE OF EXPRESSION.
Art therapy for mental health has been used since ancient times; but only recently have researchers begun to understand how it works. Activites such as sculpting allow individuals to externalize negative thoughts by giving them physical form, painting helps reduce stress levels.
Mental well-being can be promoted through the creation and appreciation of art.
The STUDIO SPACE is created in a way that people feel connected to nature.
Window Walls allow direct daylight to enter the room that induces calmness and also decrease energy use. These walls are created in a way that people from outside can see inside and vice - versa. It lets user from both inside and outside feel a sense of explorative vulnerability.
Sunlit and Enclosed DISPLAY GALLERIES to reveal emotion through art.
This studio is open to every individual out there who feels like expressing themselves irrespective of whether they know how to make art.
PROJECT GALLERY
Artist's Village in Gujarat is a vibrant haven for artists and art enthusiasts. It's nestled in picturesque landscapes, where artists gather to showcase their talents and immerse themselves in the region's rich artistic heritage.
Architecture in Artist's Village:
The space blends traditional and contemporary elements, using sustainable and locally sourced materials like stone, clay, and wood. It showcases the region's traditional craftsmanship while promoting a connection with the natural environment.
As you walk through the village, you'll notice that the architecture is not limited to standalone buildings but extends to the public spaces and walkways. These open spaces are beautifully landscaped, with lush gardens, sculptures, and art installations seamlessly integrated into the overall design. The open-air galleries and exhibition spaces provide a platform for artists to display their works amidst the enchanting surroundings.
The design incorporates communal spaces, such as courtyards and shared workshops, where artists can gather, exchange ideas, and engage in artistic dialogues. These spaces foster a sense of community and encourage artistic exploration and collaboration.

STUDENT HOUSING, NOIDA, UTTAR PRADESH
AREA- 1v.5 Acres
TYPE- Student Housing Project, Competition
ACADEMIC YEAR- 2022, 7th Semester
The design assignment entailed envisioning a cutting-edge student housing development in India for 140 students, replete with individual and community amenities. The plan was to provide students with a varied range of housing options, as well as a variety of extra amenities such as fitness centres, laundry services, air conditioning, food courts, playgrounds, and other amenities.
The goal was to build a community that is not only visually appealing but also ecologically sound, efficient, and capable of meeting the students' psychological and physical needs.
The design of a central green courtyard aims to control air- flow within the building and offer natural illumination. To optimize its functionality, passageways are incorporated on each of its four sides.
The building's volume is strategically designed to create a fluid alignment with the main road, emphasizing varying heights.
This design provides shading to the courtyard in the southern part of the building while also granting the inhabitants access to the view of the main site road.
As a result, the building and site form an articulated volume
