LETTER FROM THE BOARD PRESIDENT

Tammy Butler Robinson President, NAWBO-Indianapolis Board of Directors

Welcome to our 14th Annual Visionary Awards Luncheon. The Indianapolis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners established the Visionary Awards luncheon to publicly recognize the achievements of female business leaders. This year’s theme is Driving Business Forward Together. On behalf of the NAWBO-Indianapolis Board of Directors, we would like to thank the event organizers, corporate partners, sponsors, and you for attending the 2017 Visionary Awards Luncheon. Today we also celebrate the Chapter’s 20th Anniversary. The Chapter received its charter in 1997 focused on offering women throughout the Circle City and the state of Indiana a leadership platform to connect, engage, influence, and advance growth in the business community. Twenty years later, NAWBO-Indianapolis has become the second largest NAWBO chapter in the nation while consciously striving to build an inclusive table for all women. We have also received national recognition for our one-page business plan and member engagement and retention success. None of the accomplishments would be possible without the vision and leadership of our founding members, board of directors, and support of our engaged membership and corporate partners. As we look to the future, this chapter remains dedicated to being THE resource for women business owners when it comes to developing strategic relationships, prospecting and education. The possibilities of what we can achieve in the next twenty years are limitless…and ours to create. We invite you to THINK NAWBO FIRST as you consider partners who can support you and your business. When there is a procurement opportunity, search our member or corporate directory, on our website, for products and services. Congratulations to the 2017 Visionary Award Recipients. We wish you all continued growth and success as you drive business forward together.

OUR COMMUNITY

IS TRULY SOMETHING TO

CELEBRATE phoenix noun 1. (in classical mythology) a unique bird that lived for five or six centuries in the Arabian desert, which then burned itself on a funeral pyre and rose from the ashes with renewed youth. 2. a person or thing regarded as uniquely remarkable in some respect.

Indianapolis International Airport celebrates women business owners and their supporters. We work hard to reflect and support our community’s diversity. You see it in our leadership at the Indianapolis Airport Authority and in our commitment to providing meaningful opportunities to certified disadvantaged-, minority-, women-, veteran-owned business enterprises (D/M/W/VBE) and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) in all airport-related services. Find out more about IAA’s supplier diversity program at http://supplierdiversity.ind.com.

Phoenix Data Corporation congratulates the women being recognized today as uniquely remarkable.
