A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

An easy way to make a difference… Volunteer! Take a step forward to support the Northbrook Senior Center. Opportunities are available to meet and greet members at the Senior Center and Techny Prairie Activity Center’s indoor walking track, serve on the Senior Advisory Council, help us maintain and organize the library, become a Walking Club Coordinator, conduct courtesy calls, assist with programs such as Bingo, help promote programs through community outreach and more. If interested in volunteering, contact Eilleen Gabriel-Galán at egalan@nbparks.org or call the Leisure Center at 847-291-2995.

HEARTFELT THANKS & APPRECIATION

On behalf of the Northbrook Senior Center, we want to extend a big “THANK YOU” to Senior Center members and businesses that generously donated items for the Holiday Party. We were thrilled to have your support. You truly made a difference for us, and we are extremely grateful!

IN THE NEWS

The Northbrook Senior Center Knitting and Crocheting Group was featured in the Northbrook Herald for their homemade gifts of warmth and comfort that makes an impact in the community. Most recently, the knitters and crocheters created a colorful array of hats, mittens, and scarves that they donated to Senator Julie Morrison’s donation drive to help keep kids in foster care warm this winter. Senator Morrison personally thanked the group and presented them with a Certificate of Recognition for their generous donation of handmade items.

IN REMEMBRANCE…

Thank you Madeleine Fern and the Park Larks Singing Group for their donation in memory of Charles “Chuck” Sansone who was a valued member of the Northbrook Park Larks.
