Fine Arts

Art • Dance • Media • Music • Yearbook & Photography • Theatre North Broward Preparatory School offers a vibrant Fine Arts education that fosters broad dispositions and skills, especially: creative thinking, connection making, artistic achievement, and a sensitive aesthetic awareness. Equipped with these powerful tools for academic and artistic success, our students advance as innovative thinkers who are capable of viewing their world in new and insightful ways. At every grade level we offer sequential arts learning opportunities that ignite our students’ potential to develop as creative and critical thinkers. Through this process, they grow into sources of knowledge, inspiration and motivation for others in the community. We proudly provide our students quality opportunities to express themselves and develop as confident, disciplined and empathetic individuals who are experienced in and understand the importance of civic and social engagement. Our creative community is acutely aware of the importance of giving back to others. We guide our students to use their creativity in community service, positively influencing the lives of others by sharing their time and talents.

Private Lessons We are proud to offer a robust private lesson program that complements and enhances our classroom curriculum. Our students benefit from a broad range of private lessons available in music, dance, theatre, and art. With lessons scheduled either before, during or after school, our students develop their skills, technique, and artistry while accommodating their busy schedules. Passionate about their art and teaching, our private lesson team is comprised of both full time North Broward faculty and adjunct teaching artists. Our instructors collaborate with their students to select appropriate performance pieces and guide them through performance etiquette, providing them with invaluable life lessons in the process. Throughout the school year we host regular Private Lesson Recitals that afford our students quality opportunities to display their skills in a comfortable and supportive setting. Please check the Fine Arts Course Catalog for information regarding co-requisite private lesson requirements. For more information, contact Stacey Amelchenko at amelchenkos@nbps.org.

Summer Camps Whether your child would like to try something new or enhance their skills in an intensive program, we have what you are looking for. Our one week music, theatre, and dance summer camps offer fun and challenging courses for a wide range of ages and achievement. We schedule our camps at many times throughout the summer to give families multiple opportunities to participate. Please visit http://learnnb.net for more information or to register online.
