NATIONAL CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS COMMITTEE INSTRUCTIONS The following are distributing guidelines and procedures governing the manner in which proposed constitutional and bylaw amendments are to be structured, written, submitted, and distributed. Any submissions that do not conform to the following guidelines will not be accepted. Content. Proposed amendment language must be made in writing. The current Constitution and/or Bylaw language must be included and juxtaposed against the proposed Constitution and/or Bylaw language in a clear, concise and easy to read format. When drafting an amendment or resolution, any words inserted or added that differ from the current language must be underlined; any words that are removed from the current language must be struck out. The amendment author must then offer a detailed argument containing the following pieces of information: 1. Reason why the amendment is being submitted 2. Any and all possible impacts the amendment could/would potentially bring Submission. All amendment requests must be submitted to the Chair of the National Constitution and Bylaws Committee at Parliamentarian@nblsa.org. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, February 18, 2013. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE REVIEWED
