Breakfast With The Grinch

Who got the pancakes with a side of Malarkey? Straight from Mount Crumpit, the Grinch is back to whip up his own peculiar brand of mischievousness. Get your camera ready.

The Green One, himself, will be posing for pictures with all the guests throughout the breakfast. After a delicious meal, you’re invited to complete Grinchthemed crafts. Space is limited, register early.

Youth Sports Leagues

DAS REC YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

This recreational volleyball league emphasizes skill development and fun while promoting teamwork and fair play. Teams are coed in this instructional league that focuses on the fundamentals of volleyball and sportsmanship. Younger children learn basics like bumping, setting and spiking. Each player receives a uniform; children must have sneakers with non-marking soles to participate. One practice per week that shall be held between Monday-Friday from 6pm-9pm. Season will consist of 8 games and will be played every Saturday. League play is governed by TAAF and local league rules. Awards given at the end of the season. Upon registration you will select a practice day/ time; this will also be your team for the season. Volunteer Coaches needed! Signup available at DasRec.com. Coaches meeting required.

Basketball Skills Training Series

Take your skills to the next level with this sixweek training series. This small group training lead by one of our basketball personal trainers is the perfect opportunity to learn the breakdown of mechanics, drills, mental attitude, and scoring techniques. Cheer And Dance

We’ve got spirit- YES WE DO! Our cheer and dance team is the perfect way to introduce the basics of cheer and a variety of dance genres including Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Participants will work on technique, choreography, selfconfidence and teamwork. Each participant will receive a uniform; children must have sneakers with non-marking soles to participate. Season is 8 weeks long with one practice per week and will participate on the sidelines during the Das Rec Youth Basketball season (January –March) on Saturdays.

WURST TRI - INTRO TO TRIATHLON CLINIC

Start your triathlon journey with Das Rec’s Introduction to Triathlon Clinic. Gain accountability with Coach Amy, USA Triathlon Certified Coach, and other like-minded athletes!

Beginners and seasoned athletes are welcome!

The 8-week program includes 8 clinics, 8 Group Workouts and a comprehensive Daily Training Plan to develop skills and strength in swimming, cycling and running.

The clinic will culminate with participation in the Wurst Tri on October 8, 2023.

Hill Country Karate’s certified instructors began teaching American Karate in 1983 to people of all ages, utilizing positive instructional methods. All instructors are required to complete extensive certification programs emphasizing safety and positive professional teaching. Karate improves self-discipline, coordination, selfrespect, and self-confidence. Juniors will be divided by color of belt to allow for more instruction. All white martial arts uniform with elastic waistband required and may be purchased at class for $35.

JINGLE BELL RIDE

Ho! Ho! Ho! Join our Das Rec Instructors at our Jingle Bell Ride on December 16. This 90-minute heart-pumping cycle class is sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Get ready for this Co-Ed/Mixed 6-week Pickleball League. This fun round-robin style format is designed so that teams play with similar skill levels. Teams can sign up for Division I (Competitive 3.5-4.5) or Division II (Recreation 2.5-3.0). 16 team spots max per division. 1st Place teams will be based on Points accumulated. All matches can be recorded in DUPR when agreed to by registered DUPR players at beginning of match. DUPR account is NOT required to play in this league.

Pickleball Player Development Seriesfor The Advanced Beginner

Join our skilled certified instructors in these group clinics! These clinics are designed for the player who knows the rules of Pickleball, can keep score, and know where they should be on the court. They are looking to improve certain skills as an emerging intermediate player. Instruction and drills on a new skill every week for 3 consecutive weeks. Coached play at the end of every session. Choose to take one or take all 3 sessions. 16 max participants per week.
