1. General. This policy prohibits certain conduct on-board installations in the MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN Command. This policy supplements reference (a) . This policy will be further supplemented as needed by subordinate commanders. 2. Applicability. This policy applies to all United States military personnel and civilians on-board installations in the MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN Command. 3. Punitive Policy. Paragraph 4 of this policy is punitive. United States military personnel may face adverse administrative actions, non-judicial punishment or judicial action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) for violations of this policy. Civilians on-board MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN installations who violate this policy may face criminal prosecution or administrative action. 4. Prohibited Activities and Standards. Motorcycles and motorized scooters traveling in the unused space between two lines of moving or stationary vehicles is commonly referred to as lane-splitting, lane-sharing, white-lining, or filtering. MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN will refer to it as "lanesplitting." Lane-splitting is prohibited aboard MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN installations. Passing on the right, riding on the shoulder, riding in a designated emergency lane, or crossing over the fog line (except when permitted by law) is also prohibited. 5. Unit Commander Responsibility. Subordinate commanders and civilian supervisors are charged with ensuring that all personnel are briefed on the prohibitions and requirements of this policy. 6. Effective Date/Expiration. This policy is effective immediately and will expire only when rescinded by the MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN ng General.
