AD438 MFA Design A two-year taught studio programme across a range of design disciplines. In year one students take a number of core taught modules combining critical study and specialist studio practice together with interdisciplinary options before proceeding in year 2 of the programme to advanced research based study with a choice of a reflective body of writing or business plan culminating in the production of a major studio project for exhibition / commission / industry.

Postgraduate Study at NCAD Artists, designers, theorists, critics, historians, educators and other cultural workers pursue postgraduate studies at NCAD, attracted by a dynamic environment attuned to the latest developments in art, design, education, visual culture, criticism and theory. Postgraduate study at NCAD offers the opportunity to develop your practice through enhancing your skills and through critical engagement with others. Postgraduate students access methods, ideas, critical processes and approaches, share with peers, and interact with world-class practitioners. A full-time academic staff of more than 60 lecturers and tutors supplemented by specialist visiting and parttime lecturers, and Postdoctoral, Research and Fulbright Scholars supports a rich learning and research environment, and supplies the critical, disciplinary and technical expertise to support our postgraduate students in practicing at and advancing to the forefront of their particular discipline. May 2014 NCAD Fashion Show Final Year Fashion Students’ show. 14-22 June 2014 NCAD Degree Show Featuring the work of graduating students from the Faculties of Design, Education and Fine Art. 4 Dec 2014 NCAD College Open Day Meet staff and students, tour the campus, visit studios and labs and view current year students’ work in progress.
