About NCC Education NCC Education was originally part of the National Computing Centre, established as a computing initiative by the British Government in 1966.

Accredited Partner Centres are given full access to a comprehensive range of teaching and learning resources and the necessary ongoing academic guidance and support to meet UK quality standards. Our business model allows centres to offer one or more of our qualifications at their institution, ranging from entry-level qualifications to full degree pathways, up to master's level, specialising in Business and Computing qualifications.

Since our inception, we have developed a network of over 170 partner centres located in more than 50 countries. Working with a global network of schools, colleges and universities, we provide learners with a route to obtain a university degree and access to British education, through a combination of traditional and distance learning.

We are regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and have qualifications listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) in England.

A graduate of Cambridge University, Peter is an Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham. During his career at Nottingham. He has a variety of posts, including Director of Information Services, Head of School of Computer Science and Dean of Science.

On successful completion of the qualification, students will be able to complete the final year of a degree with NCC Education.

Students have a wide range of study options. With no mandatory units, there is complete flexibility. Eight units are available. Students can choose one module (certificate), three modules (award) or six modules to gain the whole Level 7 Diploma. NCC Education currently has articulations in place for entry onto MBA and other master’s level qualifications with a number of universities either on campus, through distance learning or online.

The NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Computing (L3DC) provides learners with a comprehensive introduction to computing.

The NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing provides learners with an understanding of a wide range of important subjects in relation to computing including databases, networking, programming and web design.

Learners will be introduced to subjects such as Introduction to Computer Science and Introduction to Programming, which will develop their understanding and knowledge of computing, providing them with an excellent foundation to succeed in higher education.

Level 3 Diploma in Business The Level 3 Diploma in Business (L3DB) seeks to provide learners with the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for entry on to the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business (L4DB) or Level 4 Diploma in Business Information Technology (L4DBIT).

Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies The International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) is a one-year pre-university programme, with a significant amount of English language training.

Level 5 Diploma in Computing The Level 5 Diploma in Computing builds upon the understanding gained during the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing and further expands learners’ knowledge by introducing advanced subjects including database design and development, information systems analysis and network security and cryptography.

The Level 5 Diploma in Business forms the second year of the NCC Education business degree pathway and is equivalent to the second year of a business degree programme in the UK university system.

Overview The BSc (Hons) Business Computing and Information Systems Degree is delivered online by NCC Education, validated and awarded by the University of Central Lancashire (abbreviated UCLan). This programme equips students with a blend of technical IT skills and business expertise which prepares them for careers in senior management roles. The programme modules are designed to provide students with the fundamental skills and knowledge required by employers in the IT sector.

University Progression and Recognition NCC Education offers students complete undergraduate and master’s degree pathways with university partners. For students who want to complete their degree overseas at a university campus, NCC Education has a number of agreements with universities which recognise our British qualifications. Our agreements include universities which recognise NCC Education qualifications for entry on to various degree programmes in many subject disciplines as well as advanced standing and exemption agreements to enable students to advance on to a particular year of a degree course. These provide direct entry to progression routes and subject disciplines from our foundation and diploma qualifications which enables students to further develop their study or career of their choice. We have agreements with over 70 universities in countries including the UK, Australia, Canada and the USA.

Overview The BSc (Hons) Computing with specialisms is delivered by NCC Education Accredited Partner Centres. It has been designed to prepare students for employment in the IT sector. This qualification provides students with the required theoretical knowledge and practical skills to apply information technology to a real business environment. The degree is awarded by the University of Greenwich. The first and second year of the degree journey is awarded and certificated by NCC Education.

Government and Industry Recognition NCC Education is recognised by the following government and industry bodies:

Ofqual NCC Education is recognised by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) as an awarding body of quality British qualifications. The Office regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England, to ensure that all students receive the highest standard of education. The details of qualifications accredited by Ofqual can be found within The National Database of Accredited Qualifications (NDAQ).

Department of Education NCC Education is recognised by the Department of Education and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills as an awarding body for Higher Education qualifications, under article 96 and article 97 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000.

UK NARIC is the National Agency which provides information and advice on the comparability of international qualifications from over 180 countries worldwide with those in the UK. It is the only official source of information on international qualifications to organisations recruiting from overseas.
