Dear friends, The Fourth International Mobile Gaming Awards came to an end with the Grande Finale at the Mobile World Congress on 11 February. We very much appreciate your commitment to the Awards and we enjoyed every moment of it. I hope you did too. Thank you for making it happen. In this report you will find a summary of the results we have obtained. Many of our sponsors, partners and supporters have plans, projects and ambitions for the IMGA and I would like to hear your thoughts on the important strategic decisions for the Fifth International Mobile Gaming Awards we have to make in the next two months before the Call for Entries is launched. This is why we are going to forward a feedback form to you.I know it is difficult to find the time to fill this out, but please do so, because it will help us a lot. As soon as we have received your feedback, we will set up a conference call to discuss. I hope I can count on your feedback and your continued involvement in the next IMGA. With kind regards,
Maarten Noyons CEO and Founder

Executive Summary
The International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) has recognized innovation and creativity in mobile entertainment worldwide since 2004. In September 2007 nearly 400 companies from 42 countries submitted their unpublished games to the IMGA. This makes the IMGA the largest competition for mobile games in the world and the only competition for unpublished development talent. The IMGA is widely recognized as the leading event for mobile games and is endorsed and sponsored by Nokia, Movida, Adobe, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA and Belle de Mai Media Park in Marseille. Later in the year Texas Instruments and Buongiorno also took part. The Awards are also actively promoted by 98 partners, by the ELSPA1 operators Group, representing the 5 mobile operators in the United Kingdom, and by the GSM Association2, representing more than 700 operators worldwide. In partnership with the UK Operators the IMGA has established the Operators Choice Award. This Award is selected by operators among the 25 IMGA finalists. The winner of the Operators Choice Award will be published on the decks of all operators in the UK. Through its partnership with the GSM Association (GSMA), the IMGA has obtained an official endorsement from the GSMA and a prominent place at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Both key partnerships will be developed in the Fifth International Mobile Gaming Awards and will contribute to the further growth and exposure of the Awards. The business media is continuing to support the IMGA and our press releases are picked up by almost every publication that counts in the mobile gaming industry. All in all, 2007 was a good year for the IMGA and there is no reason why we should not continue our success in years to come.

2007 results: focus on unpublished games improved entry procedure Since 2004 entry to the competition is free. There have been no special requirements, except that the entry has to be complete. In 2007, the IMGA became a competition for unpublished games only. Games that were published before the deadline of 24 September were not accepted. In previous years published games were accepted. The IMGA also requested more detailed information and material from entrants including a video showing the game play of the submission. IMGA set up an e-mail campaign, a telemarketing campaign and visited several trade shows such as Game Developers Conference, San Francisco • MIPTV, Cannes • Mobile Entertainment Market, Monte Carlo • Mobile Entertainment Summit (Speaker), Los Angeles • Nordic game festival (Speaker), Game Convention in Leipzig (speaker) • Game Developers Conference, Shanghai • MIPCOM, Cannes • CTIA, Los Angeles • Game Connection, Lyon.

These new rules lead to the disqualification of a large number of entries, prior to the first judging round. Most of the entries that were disqualified were entries that were not complete (63%) or entries that were already published (26%), the other disqualified entries could not be considered as mobile games (i-pod games, PSP, Pocket PC, applications, etc.).

12%
Entrants that had not completed their submission or had sent in an already published game have received at least 5 reminders by e-mail and telephone from our team. Most of these entrants corrected their submission in time (80%).
16%
26%
All entries were submitted via www.imgawards.com with an interactive, password protected and user-friendly interface, allowing entrants to update their entries as many times as they wished, until the deadline date.
46%
In 2007 we still see a predominant number of entries from Europe, although entries from the US are on the rise. It will be a challenge for us to keep working to reach all the studios, wherever they are.
The fact that the Grand Prix and the Operators Choice Award went to Japanese based publisher Konami might have a positive effect on the number of entries coming in from Japan in 2008.

THE AWARDS CEREMONY 2008
Invitation
Lay out of the Seminar Theatre with IMGA branding
In 2006 and 2007 the Awards Ceremony took place in the vicinity of the 3GSM World Congress (now the Mobile World Congress). In 2006 it was in the Hotel B and in 2007 in the Hotel Fira Palace. The partnership with the GSM Association brought us right into the heart of the Mobile World Congress. The Ceremony took place in the Fira, Hall 7, Seminar Theater, on 11 February 2008. Approximately 250 people attended the event (see below for a list of attendees). Bnet TV enabled a live streaming service on mobile phones and interviewed jury members and winners during both the Judging Session and the Awards Ceremony. All interviews can be viewed at www.bnettv.com now.
