THYRA DESIGN BY: LINDA EVENSEN
An exciting project where we look at the furniture in a new, empathetic way to reduce material consumption and show respect for the raw wood, whether it is first, second or third rate. Here we want to make the most of the raw wood and highlight its natural look to make every chair unique.

Rare armchairs are the result of our vision to create products from natural materials, with the least possible waste and material consumption.
We create durable, high-quality furniture designed to be used for generations. Developing products with a long life cycle requires not only conscious material choices, but also designs that last over time. That’s why we create Scandinavian-designed furniture that meets tomorrow’s need for sustainable solutions. The entire design process is characterised by sustainability – from choosing environmentally friendly materials to designing durable furniture with high levels of comfort and functionality. This opens up opportunities for circularity and reuse, where production takes both people and the environment into account.

Creating durable and high-quality furniture increases the likelihood of long-term use. Functionality and design are both key to developing furniture with a long lifespan. The work of developing a well-made product – and of managing materials and resources responsibly – starts early on in the design process.
