As Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning my role focuses on the development of high quality teaching and learning as well as academic literacy and I am looking forward to ensuring that you are able to achieve the very best outcome from your Sixth Form studies and enjoy being part of the College community. I feel privileged that I can also meet students in a teaching room environment in my capacity as a teacher of Applied Science.

Vicki Gorton Assistant Principal

As the Designated Safeguarding Lead at New College Bradford, the physical and mental health wellbeing of all our students is of paramount importance in my role. I have responsibility for an excellent team of Progress and Study Support Tutors, Counsellors and Special Educational Needs colleagues; together we ensure that students receive strong pastoral and study support to help you to thrive within the College environment, fulfil your potential and achieve your ambitions for the future. Through our tutorial programme, we offer an inclusive learning and working environment in which equality and diversity is celebrated and valued and we promote and embrace the Fundamental British Values. During your time at New College, we will respect you as an individual and encourage you to work in partnership with us to realise your goals.

Jaz Qadri Assistant Principal and Safeguarding Lead

I’m really looking forward to getting to know you at New College Bradford from September. As well as teaching Law, my role as Assistant Principal means I will work with the amazing staff across college to support you to get to where you want to go next: universities, apprenticeships and careers. We have a wide range of enrichment activities to help support those applications in the future, to help you meet new people and to develop new skills and interests to complement the subjects you study. We are specialists in helping teenagers reach their potential and can’t wait to help you reach yours.

Jim Robinson Assistant Principal

As a Bradfordian, I am exceptionally proud to have the opportunity to work with the students, staff, and wider community at New College Bradford. As Assistant Principal responsible for behaviour, support, and community engagement, I believe our role at NCB is to make a significant difference to the lives of young people, with education providing a beacon of opportunity and aspiration within the communities we serve. I firmly believe it is our duty to develop a sense of pride amongst all NCB stakeholders, with students and supporting adults collaborating to set challenging expectations with education being a vehicle for our students to achieve.
