The Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday morning at 10. All ladies are invited to lunch in the Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done. The Pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday morning. The audience is asked to remain seated until the end of the recession. Low Self-Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 to 8:30 pm. Please use the back door. The third verse of Blessed Assurance will be sung without musical accomplishment. For those of you who have children and don’t know it, we have a nursery downstairs. The Rev. spoke briefly, much to the delight of the audience. The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, “Break Forth Into Joy.” Due to the Rector’s illness, Wednesday’s healing services will be discontinued until further notice. The music for today’s service was all composed by George Friedrich Handel in celebration of the 300th anniversary of his birth. One particular four-year-old prayed, “And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets.”

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Meet Terry! After 15 years as a dedicated and loved employee Terry has decided to move to Utah to take care of his mom who is 91. He originally started working at our Littleton, Colorado location in 2008. Terry has been the keystone to Partner Purchasing Group’s furniture business for both ChurchPartner and Private School Partner. Terry has 4 grown children and they are part of his heart and soul. His other loves are his Porsche with the top down and his motorcycle. Nancy Rosner a colleague says
“Terry was a fun, helpful and thoughtful employee. I thank him for his 15 years of service and will miss him dearly.” “Terry always provided friendly communication and a very positive customer service experience. It has been a pleasure to work with Terry over the years.” Glenyss Barnhill, Imperial “What really sets him apart is his professionalism and excellence in customer service to both his customers and vendors.
Katie Webb, ChurchPartner
Terry was always a pleasure to work with, whether the situation was easy and straight forward or complex and difficult, Terry would always follow it through until the end to ensure his customers were taken care of. Ryan Borgstrom, ComforTek Seating Terry was also a tremendous team player. His friendliness and easy smile made the office a better place. His chili was famous at our lunch potlucks and you always knew what time it was in his office by one of many clocks he collected. Rick Emmelhainz, ChurchPartner, Retired Terry is always thinking of others and finding ways to bless them. We lost count of how many "little" meaningful things he did to brighten each day! Terry has been a rock for the company in many ways throughout his years. He has been the "go-to" person for furniture and his knowledge is second to none. He will be sorely missed not only for his furniture acumen but also for his bubbly personality and sheer joy of being part of our team.

April Devotional "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 11:18-19 In response to this exhortation from God, some Orthodox Jews to this day wear a small leather box known as a phylactery on their arm and/or forehead with passages of scripture in it during morning prayers to remind them to keep God's laws in daily life. To me, this means we need to find a way to keep God's guidance in mind at all times. On Ash Wednesday in 1983, I received a "pocket cross," a small metal cross, as part of the Lenten study we were beginning. We were encouraged to keep the cross in our pockets during the Lenten study as a way to stay focused on God's guidance. I still have that same cross in my pocket 38 years later. Over the years it has been a frequent reminder of God's constant presence in my life. Every time I put my hand in my pocket, I feel that cross. It has also served as a subtle witness whenever I pull change out of my pocket because it is there for anyone to see. Although it is not necessary to have a pocket cross to remember God's presence in my life (or in your life), it is one way to respond to God's command to fix His words in our hearts and minds. UPDATE: PRICING We wish we could say pricing has stabilized and we are not experiencing pricing increases, but that would not be the truth of it all. As the year flies by we continue to hear about manufacturers shutting down or at the very least slowing in production. The culprits remain the same, lack of employees (resulting in increased labor cost), lack of raw materials (resulting in increased material costs), fuel price increases (hopefully a future decrease with the release of US reserves) and a transportation shortage (resulting in higher prices when you find the space on containers or trucks). For items produced overseas we are also seeing an increase in the tariffs (customs duties/taxes) as we try to support our local manufacturers. We have experienced price in every single items we carry as well as an increase from our Group Purchasing Partners for all of their products. OK, so I will quit complaining and say what we are doing about it, at least the things we can control. We will continue to keep our customers informed of order statuses in a timely manner. This means our vendors will be constantly hearing from us for status updates. We pride ourselves in Customer Service and will be adding another CSR to our staff. As we noted last month, in order to best deal with this situation, we would like to make a couple suggestions: Order early. Do not wait until you must have an item to get it ordered. Give us time to make sure we can get you what you need before you run out. Stock up. Make sure you have extra quantities of those items you use the most so if a shortage should occur you will not be adversely affected.
