HELLO, My name is Neev Rathod and I am a 4 th year architecture student at SMEF’s Brick School Of Architecture, Pune. Life’s allowed me the privilege, to travel for leisure and given me the opportunity to develop a keen eye for the beauty that is in this world. Through my observations & appreciation of the work of art at every turn in the road, I try to infuse finesse to all my compositions. I believe in Kaizen Learning to constantly evolve for better by pursuing new advancements. I aim to assimilate new perspectives and explore new avenues in every genre of my interests. s e mes ter 7 affo rda b l e H o usi n g TYPOLOGY: Residential LOCATION: Undri,Pune SITE AREA : 4.7 Acres BUILTUP: 6.68 Acres AIM: The brief was aimed at designing a housing scheme which caters to the growing need of affordable housing. The design demanded a fresh approach to the concept of affordability and sustainability



fOrm development

Orienting the buildings in such a way that there’s adequate air circulation, central open spaces as well as views either overlooking the open spaces or the hill’s around the site.

Placing the buildings on the periphery creating a central open space.

Placing the buildings parallel to cretae open spaces.

1. The structural system used is Aluform Technolgy. 2. The construction is fast, accurate and cost-effective. 3. Shear walls run throughout the height of the structure. 4. It put asides the conventional, polluting construction equipments hence making environment friendly. 5. The structures are highly durable and ensures low maintenance in the long run.

s e mes ter 6 B USI NES S H O T E L wi t h c o-w ork i n g s pace TYPOLOGY: Hospitality LOCATION: Satara Road,Pune SITE AREA : 4.3 Acres BUILTUP: 2.35 Acres AIM: The brief was aimed at designing a business hotel with co-working space and creating an exhilarating user experience. The design demanded a fresh approach to the concept of business hotel and providing an opportunity to showcase the heritage and culture of the city.

s e mes ter 6 t ouris t h i g h way h a lt TYPOLOGY: Commercial LOCATION: Mumbai- Goa Highway SITE AREA : 1.2 Acres AIM: The brief was aimed at designing a facility on the highway which not just acts as a break but creates a pause point and showcases the rich culture and heritage of Sawantwadi.



concept A high symmetrical roof with arched windows provided to attract passerby.

While entering or leaving the site one will pass by the waterbody signifying it’s importance in Sawantwadi.

Arched windows with stained glass is used to play with the natural light entering the building throughout the day.

Symmetrical planning is done to achieve balance and order in design.

Parametric wall is used instead of traditional masonary which helps the structure to look unique from any point.

s e mes ter 7 AZERB AI JA N P AV I L I O N D E S I GN TYPOLOGY: Temporary Pavilion LOCATION: Delhi SITE AREA : 5.3 Acres AIM: The brief was aimed at designing an international pavilion for Expo 2021 by exploring and using new construction materials & technology.

CO MP ETITION NASA-NA R I G A N DH I TR OPHY RESULT: Top 8 BRIEF: The brief of Nari Gandhi Trophy ,2018 emphasized on CONTEXT, TIME and MOTIVE. The documented piece was required to be governed and symbolized by strong political, social, ideological and environmental concerns of it ’s time. APPROACH: The interpretation and approach was to document one of the oldest streets of Pune - J.M Road. The documentation potrays the street as a social and political space, enriching it ’s surroundings economically and environmentally.
