Welcome to Laura Lee Photography! I hope this guide will answer any questions you may have about who I am, what my process is, and how I’m going to make your wedding day better. Let me tell you, I LOVE what I do. There is nothing that makes me happier than telling the story of someone’s wedding day; capturing love and memories that will last a lifetime. From the prep to the end of the reception I will be with you every step of the way to ensure we don’t miss a thing! My style is very journalistic, relaxed, and fun (I hope!). When you receive your photos you will be able to relive the day from beginning to end; I believe in telling a story. I LOVE candid shots and capturing moments that you may have not even noticed I was there. Of course, we cover all the formal poses and Pinterest shots that you HAVE to have too ;) I will do everything in my power to make your day run as smooth as possible and make you at ease in front of the cameras. If we started as strangers, I guarantee we will leave as friends. Aside from photography, I am an Interior Architect/Designer, an adventurer, an avid traveler (32 countries and counting!), a skier, and a lover of sunflowers. Elephants are my favorite animal. Coral and aqua are my favorite colors. I could LIVE off of cheese and crackers, and I LOVEEE country music and cowboy boots. And that guy up there (Scott) is my other half; chances are he’ll be second shooting, and you’ll probably be best of friends by the end of the night.

Your wedding day requires a lot of planning and preparation, and the story of this special day will forever be preserved through photographs. WHAT i NEED TO KNOW
In order to help you design the perfect photography package for your wedding, I need to know several things, including the date, time of day, wedding and reception venues, the size of your wedding party, and the number of expected guests, among other things! If possible, I’d love to visit the wedding venue ahead of time to see where we are going to make the magic happen! I look forward to meeting you soon! As I’ve said before, getting to know you and your fiancé is SO important to us, because it’s helpful in determining the style of photography that best suits your wedding.
YOUR ENGAGEMENT session on
For most couples, the engagement session is their first professional photography shoot together. It provides an opportunity to work with us prior to the big day, and I can’t stress the importance of that! Your engagement session is important, because it tells the story of your love and commitment to each other. quick tips When you make the decision to get married, your engagement photos will be your announcement to the world. Here are some tips for your session! •Bring an alternative outfit with you •Wear dressy casual clothes that you feel comfortable in. •Bring along some props for a few fun or sentimental shots.(If you have something in mind.) •Get a professional manicure before the session •Be yourselves, relax and let your personalities shine! Wedding Photography Timeline
Once you set your wedding date it will be time to create a timeline with Laura Lee Photography. It will help you plan the steps needed to prepare for your wedding day! I want to make this as easy as possible for you! While no two wedding plans are the same, there are basic steps that apply to almost all weddings. ten months before the wedding
Ten months, or possibly before, you will choose your wedding package and we will draw up your contract! After you carefully read the contract, we can discuss any changes you want to make. All changes should be put in writing for the protection of both parties. Once the contract is ready, sign it, date it and return it to me with a retainer. This will insure the date of your wedding is saved. The required retainer amount is 50% of your chosen package. two months before the wedding
We will make an appointment to discuss the specific photographs you want included. (I’ll provide a check list to make this a bit easier!) This is especially important for family group shots. We need to know about any sticky situations so we make sure no one gets uncomfortable on your special day. We will go over in detail all the groupings of people we need to capture to tell your story right! This is also the time to provide us with a list of special photos that are important to you, such as wedding gown fitting, or bridesmaid lunch, (or anything you love from Pinterest!)
one week before the wedding
Call up Laura Lee Photography and confirm all the information regarding your big day, including the time of our arrival and the name of person to meet at the ceremony venue (officiant). Please notify us of any changes that may have occurred in reference to the family photo lineup to avoid any hold-ups on your wedding day.
one day before the wedding
A quick phone call to Laura Lee Photography will assure you and us that all is going according to plan. Quickly reconfirm the time of our arrival, the prep locations, and the order of the pre-wedding photographs to be taken. Oh boy, the day is almost here!! You Ready? ;) The day of your wedding Laura Lee Photography will arrive well before your guests, prepared to capture perfect memories of your special moment in time. We’ll talk to guests, and take some impromptu images of the pre-ceremony activities prior to the ceremony and reception. Your special day will be preserved in all its beauty in a beautiful story. Three hours before the ceremony
Upon arrival, Laura and team will meet with you for pre-ceremony photos (the dress, the shoes, the flowers, the rings), bride and groom prep, bride with mother, and all that good stuff! Any photos you have in mind can be added to this list and we will be sure to tell your story from beginning to end.
Two hourS before the ceremony
Chances are we’ll be running around taking all the pictures of the bride and groom getting dressed, getting make-up and hair done, lacing up the dress etc. This will also be the time where I (Laura) take the bridesmaids formal pictures and (Scott) takes the formal pictures of the groomsmen. Atfter the ceremony we’ll get the whole gang together for the full bridal party formals.
After the ceremony
We will take the wedding party photographs according to the plans and arrangements we made together with you. In addition to the wedding party, photographs will be taken of family members and extended family. Remember to notify everyone of the time we have selected for this shoot.

Is there an extra fee to purchase our wedding and engagement photos?
Nope! I believe in the “Shoot and Share” model, you will get an online gallery to view your pictures, share them with friends and family and download them straight to your computer... All at once! However, please note there will be a 7% sales tax added to every package.
When is payment due?
All packages and sessions require a 50% non-refundable retainer to save your date and then have two remaining
payments of 25%. Second payment due 60 days before wedding day. Final payment is due 30 days prior to your wedding day
What clothing should we wear for our engagement session?
Wear comfortable clothing in solid colors. Be sure there are no color clashes. If you’re having trouble deciding you can
always send me outfit options. I’m no fashionista but I might be able to help ;) Feel free to bring multiple outfit changes (I encourage it in fact!)
What type of accessories will compliment our portraits?
Scarves, hats, sweaters, belts, and jewelry can accessorize and change your look. They make a HUGE impact! You can also bring any special momentos such as a homemade gift, heirloom, or anything that is special to your relationship that will help tell your story.
What is your photography style?
I believe in telling a story. My style is journalistic, fun, relaxed and timeless. I guarantee I’ll have you laughing at some point in the day and if we started as strangers, we will certainly leave as friends.
WILL we GET TO SEE ALL our PHOTOS?
As an artist, I hand select every image that I put into your gallery, and every one of those is edited. I promise you you’re only getting the best ones. The only ones I’m getting rid of are blinks and blurs!
When will we recieve our photos?
Please allow up to six weeks to view your entire gallery. I try to get all galleries out before that timeframe, but you will certainly get sneakpeaks while you’re waiting!
what is a first look?
Many couples these days are doing something called a “first look”. You see each other before the ceremony to chat, flirt, and get the jitters out. This is something that is a beautiful time to capture because it is a non-interrupted time between the bride and groom where they don’t have to cater to guests or worry about organizing the whole bridal party for formals. It’s just you. And me, telling your love story.
why get an album?
Where is technology going to be in fifty years? DVD’s? Computers? USB’s? They don’t even have DVD drives in MACs
anymore! An album is the only way you can be sure to preserve your memories for generations to come. My albums lay flat, and are custom made by me, proofed by you, and printed from one of the top printing labs in the country!
