Toro 580D Mounting Instructions Line up the pre-punched holes with those already in the platform lip. Then take the front mounting brackets and position them against the outside of the platform lip so the the front mount holes line up with the holes in the platform lip. 1. Remove the air intake units located directly behind the seat. Remove the two Bolt the platform angles and front plates and angle used to seal around the mounting brackets together through the platform, using the 3/8” x 1 ½” bolts, air intakes. Un-bolt the hydrostatic nuts, and washers supplied. Remember pedal from the platform. to line up the platform angles at the two corners where they meet to ensure a Figure 1 proper seal for when the cab is installed. See Figure 3. NOTE: Use the following torque specifications for all hardware: ½” hardware 90 ft-lbs, 3/8” hardware 37 ft-lbs, ¾” hardware 319 ft-lbs.

Figure 2

2. Tilt the steering column back towards the seat. Take the ½” x ¾” NDA-X, and carefully install a 12” piece along the front edge of the control tower to seal the air gaps as shown in Figure 1. 3. Remove the plate directly beneath the steering tower (below the platform). Take the 6” x 11 ½” piece of mylar, peal back the adhesive backing and glue it onto the side of the plate facing the steering tower. See Figure 2. Rebolt the plate to the steering tower. 4. Take the left, centre, and right platform angles and place them against the inside of the platform lip with the top angle facing away from the operator.

Toro 580D Mounting Instructions 5. Using the third hole in the front brackets as a guide, drill two 3/8” holes through the operator platform lip for both brackets. Then use the remainder of the hardware used for the other fasteners, and bolt into place. 6. Begin as far toward the rear as possible, and slide 90d O-rubber onto the outside lip of the left platform angle. With the bulb facing up, work your away around the platform until you arrive at the rearmost point of the right platform angle. See Figure 4.

open properly. Glue the floormat onto the toolbox lid. See Figure 5. Take the 23 1/8” x 28 ¼” piece of floormat and place it onto the left side of the platform. Ensure that it fits snugly against the tool box lid mat at the rear and the platform lips, and glue into place.

7. Take the 5 ¼” x 16 7/16” piece of floormat and position it on the platform around the right and rear side of the HST pedal. Glue the floormat into place onto the platform. See Figure 5. Take the 22 ¾” x 21 7/8” floormat piece and place in on the platform so that it fits snugly around the steering tower and brake pedal. Glue the floormat into place.

9. Take the underplatform shield and line it up with the holes in the platform as shown in Figure 3. Bolt into place with the 5/16” x 1” flange bolts and nuts provided. Ensure that the HST pedal and all linkages in the area nearby operate properly and are not restricted in anyway. If the linkages are binding, or hitting a part of the shield, reposition the shielding until normal operation of all parts has been attained. 10. Re-install the HST pedal with the longer fasteners provided, 5/16” x 1 ¼”. 11. Take the left rear bracket and slide it into the 2-post ROPS mount socket. The top plate should point forward. Repeat for the the right side. See Figure 7.
