The aim of this Studio was to design a novel structure. Due to my inspiration, Spain’s Metropol Parasol, and hills behind the site, I have designed a smooth waffle structure with a sense of movement. This structure is formed by twelve columns that carry the building’s weight and also bring natural light and fresh air into the interior of the building. Passengers could sit around these columns, enjoying natural light and greenery, or go around and buy some souvenirs. They can go to the cafe, restaurant and also stay at hotel. Noticeably, clear spatial hierarchy was a most important issue here that have helped passengers access the buses and exit the terminal simply.

STEP. 02

The columns stretch down for structural use and bring natural light to the interior

STEP. 03

To make the main spaces (departure and entrance) noticeable, they were designed higher than the other functions

STEP. 04

The surface has a transparent fiber glass on the top to avoid the rain and bring natural light into the terminal
