Project Narrative
08
The project aims to create a resort s h o w c a s i n g e l e m e n t s o f Cy c l a d i c a r chitecture in the context of Dubai. This multi-functional resort would contain unique, extravagant features that will entice visitors. Resort of this nature would include private and public activities that cater to both tourist and residents. These blocks would be designed seamlessly in order for them to blend harmoniously without creating a divide between guests or visitors. This could nudge the tourism industry in Dubai, therefore bringing out advancement in the economy as Dubai’s main source of revenue is tourism.

Since Deira Islands are a new construction. There are no projects currently developing on site. Hence, this provides a lot of opportunity to develop the site as required.
Most built structures on the island consist of typologies such as malls or hotels. There are very few industrial buildings present as well. To u r i s m i s m a i n p u r pose.
The road network within the islands are not fi n a l i s e d yet. Therefore, this provides an opportunity to suggest an advanced mobility pattern.

The narrow passage provides a narrative to the building as it includes separate entrances into each block while having a common passage area that makes it easier to interact with the other residents.

Site Plan The area around the buildings is designed in a such a way that the common areas can be viewed by the residents from the comfort of their home.
