THE MU(O)RAL MOVEMENT
This is a project about transforming Chow Kit an undermaintained area in Kuala Lumpur, into a very exciting district full of arts. Adding value to Chow Kit, giving awareness of locals to love Chow Kit, and giving them the heart that Chow Kit belongs to them.

Knowing where the highest amount of waste production in Chow Kit, means knowing on where to take your resources. There are lots of different shop types in Chow Kit, therefore the types of wastage would varies.

The start of murals might be done in a certain buildings. As there are lots of plane canvas that can be utilized as a part of the art movement.
LEVEL OF ACTIVITY AND IMPACTFUL MURAL SPOTS Understanding the level of activity in Chow Kit, means knowing where would be the most impactful place to start the mural. This means, the more people see the mural, the more impact it will give.

COMPOST FACTORY Besides doing art, we are also passionate about making our world a better enrivonrmment and more pleasant with greeneries and vegetation. We believe through our contribution to the environment, it will help the awareness of people in Chow Kit, and throughout Kuala Lumpur.
1. COLLECTION OF FOOD WASTAGE There’s a space for restaurants in Chow Kit to transfer the food to this space. The collection space is at the parking area so that restaurant owners can come in a batch and it’s easier for them to transport everything.
2. ORGANIC MATERIAL CHECK At this stage, organic materials will be transferred into boxes of slotsthat can open. This will help to grade the compost and to know which restaurant given which kind of food.
3. COMPOSTING PROCESS This is the most important stage after everything has been checked. Composting has layers of it and it took 6 weeks long for a batch of compost to fully processed.
4. TRANSPORTED

Finally the compost will be transported into a box which makes it easier to take out of the factory without having to go in/out which is inconvenient.

ART MATERIAL FACTORY This is the main production line of RE+, through the process of creating the basis materials the needs of artists are being fulfilled by the quality materials of this mass production system. There are 4 main processes of each unique materials that we use as a creative expression.

1. COLLECTION OF MATERIALS There’s a rubbish bin-like box in the entrance near the lobby. Its location that is in the beginning of the journey has given the impression towards the importance of recycling garbage. here are certain standards of every material before it’s dumped to the box.
2. PRE-FABRICATION: CLEANING AND DRYING This stage is important for a quality material at the end of the process. Pre-fabrication is a stage where before everything start, the materials are being cleaned for further progression.

3. PRIMERING After the materials being cleaned, it is sprayed with primering paint to strengthen the chemical molecules of the materials before it is being transformed and modified.

4. REPACKAGED This stage is to determine the end result of every materials. Metal and wood will be in a boxed 4 edged shape, plastic will turn into wires for 3D printing, and fabric will be a sheet of fabric.
5. TRANSPORTED TEMPERED GLASS
And lastly it will be transported to the studio material storage through piping system for easier acess towards the materials.
