We are pleased to announce NEHP member Denice FerkoAdams, MPH, RDN, LDN will be on the ballot as a candidate for Director-at-Large. Based in Nazareth, PA, Denice Ferko-Adams
is president of Wellness Press a consulting company that licenses RDN/RDs to use her worksite health campaign programs. From 20102013, she served as the first Director for the MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education at Villanova University’s College of Nursing. In this position, Ferko-Adams helped to increase awareness of the role of RDN/RDs through interdisciplinary professional continuing education webinars and conferences on obesity related topics. Last spring, she co-presented a webinar on using simulation for the NEHP DPG and SNEB on “Spring into Active Learning - Use Simulation to Develop Counseling Skills” and presented at the 2012 FNCE
meeting on a similar topic. Nationally recognized as an Academy leader, Ferko-Adams has received many national awards including the prestigious 2013 Medallion Award and 2009 Excellence in Practice Award in Consultation and Business for her lifetime dedication to creating new career paths for dietitians in corporate wellness. An accomplished leader, Denice has a demonstrated record of working with diverse health professionals in developing yearround service proposals, directing operations to implement services, and leading the development of tracking software to show outcomes.
