CaringPaws, a new family-owned, full-service animal hospital treating cats, dogs, and exotic pets, opened its doors in August 2021. Although the office is new, patients will recognize the familiar face of its veterinarian Dr. David Danielson. Dr. Danielson has been treating pets in Northwest Hillsborough County for twenty-seven years. The veterinarian made the move to Odessa because of the growing community. Many clients and a few they’ve lost touch with over the years have moved with the practice.

“They’re coming back and finding us again. Though we’re new, we’re not really new,” said Michelle Danielson, co-owner and practice manager. “Our location – 54 and the Suncoast Parkway is a perfect place. It’s easy for people in the northwest part of the county. On and off the expressway, it’s right there and conveniently located in the Publix Greenwise Plaza. The area presented a great

opportunity for growing a new business.”

To commemorate its official grand opening, the hospital hosted a Grand Opening event on Saturday, December 4.

From 2 PM to 4 PM, the hospital celebrated the holidays and its official grand opening with a visit from Santa. Pet parents had their pets photos taken without cost. Of course, Santa had treats for the fourlegged friends, as well as holiday treats like cookies and hot cocoa for the owners. A dog trainer provided basic obedience tips. The Staff conducted hospitals tours, so guests could get to meet the doctor and the team.

When asked why someone should bring their pets to CaringPaws, Michelle responded, “Because we treat your pets as children.”
