This year’s camp ran from July 19 – 23 with more than 60 youth in attendance. This free camp was hosted by Basketball Camp 66, Inside and Out Project, YBDG and DuCon Construction at Campbell Park Rec Center, courtesy of St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation. The camp featured professional referee Haywoode Workman who played over 350 games in eight NBA seasons for five teams from 1989 to 2000 and is now a referee in the NBA.

Along with participating in basketball drills and games, campers also took part in various other activities including a talent show and classes on money management, self-esteem and different careers.

Campers also heard from many speakers including the current Mayor of St. Petersburg Rick Kriseman, CEO Ernie DuBose of DuCon Construction and former Pinellas County Commissioner Ken Welch.
