The program culminates in a lively celebration at the Elf After Party, held at Lily Flanagan’s of Babylon on Deer Park Avenue, where volunteers will gather to share their experiences and toast to another successful season of giving back.

For the past decade, the HoLiDAY CHEER BUS has grown into a beloved community tradition, fostering joy, laughter, and connection for families facing life’s toughest challenges. This year’s milestone celebration is a testament to the power of community and the importance of making childhood memories that last a lifetime.

HOW THE CHEER BUS BRINGS MAGIC TO LIFE

Volunteer Elf Teams visit children and families, delivering personalized gifts and festive surprises on a cheer-filled bus. Along the way, teams complete silly challenges that add a playful twist to their visits—think

10 AM - North Pole Press Conference: Learn about the history and impact of the HoLiDAY CHEER BUS, meet the Elf Teams, and

hear inspiring stories from families touched by this program.

11 AM - Cheer Bus Launch: The buses will hit the road, with teams of Elves delivering cheer to families across Long Island Carolinging, wacky dances, and holiday scavenger hunts—all designed to keep spirits high and laughter flowing.

The result? Unforgettable memories of joy and connection.

“Our mission is simple,” shared Melissa Mistletoe Firmes, Executive Director of KiDS NEED MoRE.

“Childhood only happens once. You can’t redo it. You get one chance to make those happy childhood memories that will last a lifetime. That’s what KiDS NEED MoRE is all about.”

Sparkling wines can make special occasions even more enjoyable. That is why they're generally reserved for big events that warrant toasts, like weddings or New Year's Eve celebrations. But bubbly can be enjoyed at any time of year. Many people mistakenly believe that all sparkling wines are champagne, so much so that the term champagne has become something of an umbrella term. However, true champagne is made in the Champagne region of France from a combination of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier grapes. It can only be made in the region's traditional method, called Méthode Champenoise, and the taste will typically be nutty and toasty. Sparkling wines can be produced across the globe in various ways. The taste will vary depending on how it is produced.

Sparkling wines are named depending on where they are made.

Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine, cava a Spanish variety and sekt is a German version.

Take time this week to rediscover the joy of believing, the wonder of giving, and the simple pleasures of time spent with loved ones. And you can find ALL of it in Lindenhurst!
