Wow, what a busy month of April we had. I want to thank all those who participated to make April successful. We are going to try and start a new class on Masonic symbolism on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm - to be held at the MMT in the Library. We will only hold this class on the months the lodge is not dark (unless those that participate make other arrangements). I just wanted to let everyone know that we Scott Keiser as a lodge are doing beautifully, you can be Worshipful Master truly proud. We still have a few problems with delinquencies and sadly we may be forced to let some of those brothers go. But, with that sad news the petitions keep rolling in and the lodge is growing in new membership. For this to be successful me must have more coaches and 4 to 6 more brothers to join are investigation committee. This will allow us to continue to grow smoothly and not suffer hiccups. Besides coaching is one of the greatest ways to get to know a man and one of our most important Masonic duties are investigating those men that wish to join our fraternity and lodge. May is such a beautiful month. The weather is great and Spring fever is everywhere. It is my hope that in the Spirit of this season we can bring that Energy to us. I hope to see all of you soon.

God Bless, Scott W.M.

Brother by brother Dressed well For a special event We stand at the door We were but warm And also cold Waiting there but not alone Reports were heard Entering then We’re stung as by a bee Then healed well by soothing word Knee shaking step is taking March unsteady All there can see our way but us We stop No one could show the way Then only God would light the day Now only to follow and trust We hobble forward Traveling about Doing all this to beg kind words

One poor soul But not alone Now near our Master We look East And see the sun rising Our find our promise to be so great That now, when looking for the light In the night When we cannot see another We can still make out our brother

INITIATION INTO SYMBOLISM Nellis Lodge #46 presents monthly evening meetings about “Masonic Symbolism.” These meetings are intended to be accessible to any brother regardless of his degree. There are no prerequisites. You will discover how to easily decipher symbols in order to find their hidden symbolism. You will be given some sample readings so that you can learn to understand the true essence of symbolism and what is called “esotericism”. You will be invited to conduct research on different subjects and share them during the meetings. At the end of the year, the group will present these researches in a booklet. The “Initiation into Symbolism” meetings will offer you a very good opportunity to be enlightened by a new understanding of the symbols you usually see around you in the temple. These meetings will be organized by Jean-Louis DE BIASI, an author who is published in several languages, and who is a current member of Nellis Lodge #46 and 32nd Scottish Rite, Valley of Las Vegas.

To enroll, please send an email to: jeanlouis@debiasi.org
