Stated Meeting first Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 pm at the Masonic Memorial Temple 2200 West Mesquite Ave. (Rancho & US-95) Las Vegas, Nevada 89106 www.nellislodge46.org secretary@nellislodge46.org
October 7 is our Stated Meeting and we have lot things to take care of. Grand Lodge has four Resolutions for this year and it is a total of 55 pages long. I would like for everyone to read them before our Stated Meeting. You can find it on the Grand Lodge website under files. If you have any questions or statements it can be brought up in Lodge. Worshipful Mike Clark has asked the Lodge to give out bikes for the Bikes for Books programs for three schools. If anyone would like to do it please contact me. The Lodge has another Child I.D. to do, it is in Pahrump on October 11th if anyone can help it would be appreciated. October 14 is a Master Mason Degree for Roberto Franco. If anyone would like a part please contact our Senior Warden. Our Senior Warden will be conferring the Degree. October 21st EA Degree if someone would like to do this degree let me know. October 28th Fellow Craft Degree or Dark. Our Junior Warden will be conferring the Degree. Grand Lodge is holding their 150th communication on November 10th and 11th at the Atlantis Hotel in Reno. Registration is only $25.00. Pre- Registration has to be postmarked by October 23; the form is on the Grand Lodge website. It would be nice to have as many members there as possible. All Master Masons can attend. It is a great experience to see how your Grand Lodge works. Other Lodges have many brothers that go; it would be nice if we had a great showing. If you have never gone before it would be a great trip. I will be going this year. We are a hard working lodge; we have a positive membership this year. I would appreciate any feedback you may have that would improve our Lodge and make it the best in Nevada. By the square Harold Scalzo Jr. Worshipful Master

Brethren, As October begins I look back thru the year and see how quickly it has flown by! We have accomplished so much work to get candidates and new Brothers through their degrees. It feels good to know there are still plenty of men that would love to join our fraternity. However, I think it's time to start looking at the Brothers already in our fraternity and to reinvest into them. There are many ways we can go about doing this but first and foremost it has to be in our hearts to do so. If you reading this article and haven't attended Lodge in awhile please come back we miss you! If you are a regular attendee and know a Brother that hasn't been in a while, call him up and invite him back. We can accomplish so much more when we come together as Masons. We can make Nellis Lodge #46 Once again stand out amongst the rest! Fraternally, Bro. Miguel Zavala SW
Brethren, A few requests: If you know any parts for any of the three rituals please let me know what they are. If you know a part or parts and haven't performed them yet but would like to, let me know. Please let me know no later than the end of October. If you wish to be considered for appointment to the Line of Officers and for whatever reason have not yet conveyed this to anyone please see the Senior Warden or myself immediately. Finally, I have noticed an inordinate amount of trash being left in the Lodge room after our meetings. It is every member's duty to see that the Temple is left in proper order for the use by our fellow Lodges so please conduct yourselves accordingly.
Sincerely,
Dennis G. Tyson
