Brothers, I hope everyone had a Safe, Exciting and Relaxing Summer… But it is time for us to resume our Masonic Labors… As we return to “Light”, we find ourselves very busy! Several Brothers took advantage of our Proficiency Night on August 27th, giving us a need to add a “Super Saturday” to our Trestle Board…

Jeff Byrne Worshipful Master 2013

On Saturday September 21st at High Twelve we will open on the Master Mason Degree to confer this degree on Four Brothers at one time. Please make every attempt to join us and support the Brothers on this day, for their journey to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason… Please contact Jason Turner, our Senior Deacon to sign up for your Favorite Part for these MM Degrees. Please make every effort to join us for our Stated Meeting this month as we will read the list of those members who may be suspended for NonPayment of Dues. The suspension of a Brother for “NPD” is never an easy thing to do and sometimes the “Condition” of a Brother is only known by a one member of the Lodge and that may be you. So please be present that your input may be heard. Some events to mark on your calendar… October 15th- 50 Year Mason and Honored Ladies Dinner October 29th- Master Mason Degree presented by the Past Masters Degree Team Looking forward to seeing you! Sincerely and Fraternally Jeff

It’s been a long and hot summer, now it is over and it is time to get back in the quarry and do some work. I hope everyone had a safe and good summer. During the summer we had the Fireworks Booth and we made approximately $3,800.00. I would like to thank all the Brothers who volunteered and donated money. Your help with this endeavor was greatly appreciated. I would like to express my gratitude to Brother Mike Griffin and our friend Andy who kept open the booth for the night shift of our 24 hour operation; they worked 72 hours that week.

Senior Warden Harold Scalzo, Jr.

In August we had a proficiency meeting, I would like to congratulate all the Brothers who completed their proficiency in the Fellow craft Degree. In September we will have a Super Sunday to make new Master Masons. I missed our Brotherly Fellowship and am looking forward to our Lodge meetings again. Fraternally, Brother Harold Scalzo Jr. Senior Warden On the Level

I have a few Masonic quotes this month. Louis Williams wrote.. Many writers and thinkers have tried to define Freemasonry but it really defeats definition. It is too complex, too profound in conception, to easily expressed in words. Perhaps the simplest and best definition of all is the phrase "the brotherhood of man under the fatherhood of God." Our Masonic forefathers had an understanding of human needs and human aspirations. They may never have dreamed of the mindless computer which governs our lives, or the fission of matter which threatens our lives, but they understood human nature and what motivates the spirit of man. Thus from a simple process of using stone and mortar for building they progressed to the most important of life's functions, the building of character.

Junior Warden Miguel Zavala

****************************************************************** Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote.. There are one-story intellects, two-story intellects, and threestory intellects with sky-lights. All fact collectors, who have no aim beyond their facts, are one-story men. Two-story men compare, reason generalize, using the labors of the fact collectors as well as their own. Three-story men idealize, imagine, predict, their best illumination comes from above, through the skylight. ********************************************************************* C. H. Claudy wrote.. Freemasonry is "veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols" because these are the surest way by which moral and ethical truths may be taught. It is not only with the brain and with the mind that the initiate must take Freemasonry but also with the heart. Fraternally Miguel
