Poland BEREK For this game at least five players are needed. Berek is a person who chases other players and tries to tap them on the back. The person who has been tapped takes Berek by the hand and they chase the other players. Now he/she is Berek too.
The other children run away and do everything not to get caught.

CYMBERGAJ It is a game for two contestants or two teams with contestants flicking coins in turns. They need two teams consisting of 6 players (big coins), a ball (a little coin) and a comb or a ruler. One team is “heads up” and the other is “tails up” (not to mix the coins during the game). Contestants play on a table with goal-posts marked with chalk or pencil.

“Let’s share our culture” – Comenius project They are to flick the big coins in turns with a comb or a ruler and hit the ball (a little coin) trying to place it in the opponent‟s goalposts. If the ball falls off the table it is placed in the middle of the field. The game lasts two 15-minute halves. ZBIJAK (DWA OGNIE) It is a game for at least 10 players. Two mothers standing on two ends of a sports field try to hit the contestants from the opposite team with a ball.

The best tactics is to weary the players from the other team with a few quick passes between the mother and her team. The player who manages to catch the ball wins the right to hit one of the players from the opposite team. The team which has at least one player on the field wins.
Bulgaria NATION BALL There are two teams in the game. Each team is usually from six to eight players. They have a leader (consul). throwing a ball between the leader and the team. The ball has to pass over the other team‟s heads without they can catch it. If anyone of the other team catches the ball, the ball becomes theirs. So they start throwing it.
When this three times throwing are done, the game continues with throwing ball aimed to hit a player from the opposite team. When the player is hit, he is out of the court. His teammates can turn him back to the game by catching the ball. The ball can‟t touch the ground when it is thrown. If it happens, the other team can take it. The game finishes when all players of one of the teams are out of the court. The winner is the other team. TUG OF WAR For this game are needed two teams with equal number of players and a long rope. The players of the two teams stand at the opposite sides of the rope holding it. The rope is marked at the middle of it. There is a line drawn on the ground. The mark of the rope has to stay above it. When the referee gives a sign, all the players of the two teams start pulling the rope.

The winner is that team who manage to pull the other team in its side, behind the line. A KING-A DOORMAN This is an old informal game that is played mainly in the free time. There is no rule about how many players can take part in it. Two of the players hold their hands forming an arch with them. The other players walk in a line under the arch. At this time, the first two players sing a song: Kralyo, Portalyo, Otvori porti Da mine tsarya, Tsarya, gospodarya. Luzhichka, chiniyka, Tendzhera, kapak. The one caught at the last word has to choose between two words. For example: red or green. In this way the players are divided in two teams and a game with two teams can start.
Greece THE WOLF AND THE LAMB The children take out to see who is the lamb and who is the wolf. After caught in a circle. Inside the circle is the lamb and out of the circle stands the wolf. The wolf is trying to get in, but children of-download their hands as it is caught and back. At some point in the cycle, but some children may decide to leave the wolf to enter. Portugal THE MESH GAME On a flat ground, flat pins are placed in the same direction, at a distance of about 15/18 meters between them. Each team stays behind a pin. The first member of the team plays. Then the other player of the opposite team throws a mesh with one hand, aiming to knock down the pin or to throw the mesh as close as possible to the other team´s pin. A match can consist of three games. To be the winner, a team must win two games.

“Let’s share our culture” – Comenius project SET OF CONES The goal of this game is to knock down as many cones as possible. The first team that scores 100 points wins. Each game can consist of three games; to win a team must win two games. On a flat ground three rows are made up by three cones with a distance of 15 cm between each one. A bigger cone is placed in the front of the central row with a distance of 30 cm and separated by a line drawn on the ground. Teams must stay away from the cones at a distance of about 6 or 8 meters. On each turn a player throws the ball so that it rolls on the ground, trying to knock down the cones. Note: The cone game is similar to bowling (traditional game of the United Kingdom)

“Let’s share our culture” – Comenius project THE ROPE TRACTION GAME Tie a scarf in the middle of the rope. Draw a vertical center line. Each team takes one side of the rope and players are separated within a same distance. Each team stretches the rope so that the scarf is over the center line. On command each team starts to pull the rope to their side. The winning team is the one who get to pull the rope so that the other team‟s players cross over the center line. It is forbidden to roll up the rope around the body or to make holes in the ground to sink players´ feet.

It counts a lot to have imagination and a good team which can make out your desperate signs and gestures. It is not only a game for children, we rediscovered it during high school when we used to propose difficult words, most of them abstract nouns. How would you mime, for example,”synchronization” or “choice”? HIDE – AND - SEEK It is played with at least three or four children. The participants will be gradually cleared away by the one who tells the rhyme, that is a kind of counting. The last child remained is the first who starts. He/She chooses a place established before with the other participants, covers his/her eyes and starts counting by “ten” to “one hundred”. Meanwhile the other children hide. After the counting stopped, the “doer” has to find in turns all the children. The one found first is the “doer” in the next shift. “Let’s share our culture” – Comenius project Each child will need a small stone for this game. The children say a rhyme that establishes the order in which the kids throw the stone. So, the stone is cast away in the established order. If the stone touches the line of the square, then the throw repeats and if it gets out of the square, the child is out of the game. In the first stage, the stone is thrown in square number 1, then the child skips in one leg till squares number 8,from where he/she turns back, in the same way till the square where he/she has the stone. Turkey BLINDMAN’S BUFF This game is played with 10 or 12 children. First, the main player is chosen and than his/ her eyes blind with a piece of cloth. This game‟s name is „‟ BLINDMAN‟S BUFF‟‟ because of this. The players make a circle and the main player is in the middle of the circle. The aim is not to be caught by the blind main player. During the game, other players make tricks to the main player. For example, they touch the back of the main player or they shout „‟here I am‟‟. And the player who is caught by the main player becomes the main player. FISHER NET In this game, a main player is chosen. The main player runs after the other players to catch them. So, it becomes the shape of the fisher net while they catch the players hand in hand. The game is over when the all players are caught. I SELL OIL,I SELL HONEY In this game, first, a main player is chosen among the players. They sit in the form of the circle on the ground. The main player holds a handkerchief in his/her hand and s/he walk around the circle waving the handkerchief .While walking, s/he says the song of the play: I sell oil, I sell honey...While walking s/he put the handkerchief behind one of the players. When the player whom the main player put the handkerchief behind realizes the handkerchief behind him/her, s/he takes the handkerchief and starts to run after the main player. If the main player sits the place where the other player was sitting before, the player who takes the handkerchief becomes the main player. But, if the main player is caught, s/he still remains the main player.
