THE NAIROBI DECLARATION 2013 Meeting in Nairobi at the Savelberg Retreat Centre for the 3rd Annual general meeting under the theme; Formulating a clear direction towards shaping the post 2015 agenda; Acknowledging that the MDGS have provided global collaborative space towards global poverty reduction but showing insufficiencies in terms of inclusive policies and implementation strategies and especially issues pertaining to youths; Building on the declarations and recommendations rising from the African youth declaration on the post 2015 and the youth round table for high level panel on post 2015 consultations; We, the Network of International Youth Organisations in Africa (NIYOA); reaffirm our mission to provide a collaborative platform to enhance the work of International youth Organisations in Africa; Commit ourselves to the MDGs and identify the following points as crucial to the formulation of the post 2015 agenda regarding youth development and involvement: 1. The inclusion of the youth in the development mechanism especially in policy making, review process and outcome of MDGS and Post 2015 Agenda, to enhance the sense of ownership. 2. Youth sensitization and awareness through the use of various means. 3. Creation of opportunities for talent development through non-­‐formal and technical education. Organizations represented: GYG, FIMCAP, IYCS, IMCS, IFMSA, IFM-­‐SEI, YWCA, WOSM, WAGGGS, ICMICA and World Peace Initiative Foundation (Peace Revolution) Nairobi, 07th September 2013
