Popular Lake Run to close by Christmas

Running around Lake Rotoiti in the annual Alpine Lodge Loop the Lake has always been popular with the event always selling out.

Next year’s April edition is on track to be sold out earlier than normal as only 80 spots remain before the capacity of 400 is reached.

Joining the throng will be Wyatt Crockett keen to “find life after being on the rugby field” and keen to continue his fitness regime. The 25km circuit is an ideal introduction to trail-running with the field normally split 50/50 male & female plus a large percentage being first timers. Such is their enjoyment of the course and camaraderie that many choose to retrace their steps in future years.
