NOTES: These raw materials are to ensure the energy side of the diet. Please take care about the NFC value of the diet, this value should not be over 42-43%. Over this value, the risk of acidosis increasing significantly. Also try to follow the 1:3 ratio between Small Grain Seeds and Corn. Green plant meals Alfalfa meal, grass meal

Industrial By-products max 5-10%

NOTES: These raw materials are mostly used at pelleted feed production, such as calf feed… VEGETABLE OIL BY-PRODUCTS - PROTEIN SOURCES Soybean meal + Soybean

Silage Corn max 30-35 kg Sorghum max 30-35 kg Rye max 15-20 kg Alfalfa max 15-20 kg Grass max 10-15 kg NOTES: Silages: Different amount should be used in lactating and in dry period. Also take care about the periods when start a new type of forage, or a new silagebunk. 7-10 days needed for the change, mixing the old and the new forage. In case of rye and/or grass silage, check the potassium level of the diet, because high amount of these forages can easily cause tetany. Additional Magnesium (MgO) can help you to prevent tetany. Hay Alfalfa max 5-7 kg Grass max 5-7 kg Straw Oat max 2-3 kg Barley max 2-3 kg Wheat (just in dry cow, if possible) max 2-3 kg NOTES: In case of lactating cow, the total amount of hay and straw should not be more, than 4 kg/ head/day. In case of dry cow, you can use more, 7-8 kg in the diet. In that phase you have to keep up the DMI, without overfeeding energy, and the straw can be the best tool for it. Or the rye-silage, if you have...Good quality grass hay is a treasure, so keep it for the fresh and the high yielding groups, the dry cow really likes the straw... And in that phase the biggest quest to keep up the DMI, 16 kg in the far off group, and 13 kg in the close up group...

max 5% Feed fats, oils

Rapeseed oil

max 3-4%

max 3-4%

NOTES: Usage of fats and oils in ruminant feeding just in protected form (Casoap, Hydrogenated forms). The raw oils can cover the fibers and the bacterias in the rumen, and through this way can cause negative effects, such as decreasing milk fat level, acidosis, secondary ketosis, etc.

Dairy COW Small Grain

Brewers grains (Wet) max 8-10 kg NOTES: Brewers grains is a very good component of the TMR. It has very strong lactagog effect. Take care of the continous supply, to ensure stabilized ratio for your lactating cows… Corn DDGS (Dried Distillers Grain wih Solubles) max 2-2,5 kg WDG (Wet Distillers Grain) max 6-7 kg Dry CGF (Corn Gluten Feed) max 2-2,5 kg Wet CGF (Corn Gluten Feed) max 6-7 kg NOTES: Crucial point of these components is the mycotoxin level of the raw materials. More than 95% of these components are made from corn. Because of it, you have to check the level of Aflatoxin, DON, Fumonisine toxines, and based on the results, decide the usage of any kind of toxinbinder... Sugarbeet Sugar beet pulp (wet) max 8-10 kg Sugar beet pulp (dry) max 2,5-3 kg NOTES: Using beet pulp in the ratio is very good. Amount depends on the way of procession. In Southern-Europe, there is much more sugar left in the beet pulp. Dried beet pulp is a good raw material for pelleted feed production…
