TEGUCIGALPA
Tegucigalpa, commonly refered as "Teguz" is the capital and largest city of Honduras along with its twin sister,Comayagüela . It is located on hilly terrain hemmed in by mountains, at an elevation of 3,200 feet (975mts) above sea level. Tegucigalpa, founded in 1578 on the slopes of Mount Picacho as a gold-silver mining centre, alternated with Comayagua, 35 miles(56km) to the northwest, as capital from 1824-1880, when Tegucigalpa was made the permanent capital of the republic. In 1938it was combined with the city of ,Comayagüela which is located just across the Choluteca River to the south, to form the Distrito Central (Central District)

A walk at “El Picacho” The National Park “El Picacho”, is a mountain located at the northern end of the city of Tegucigalpa, M.D.C. capital of the Republic of Honduras. It belongs to the Mountain of La Tigra. At its top, there is a famous monument with the image of Christ, called by the capital as "El Cristo del Picacho". This Christ is built on the top of the mountain, it measures 32 meters in total and it is considered one of the biggest attractions of the city. El Picacho has one of the best views of the entire city, a unique experience at 1,327 meters above sea level. Activities that can be performed: - Visit to the Metropolitan Zoo Rosy Walther, where you can learn about endemic species of our country - Hike through the thematic gardens of El Picacho National Park - Canopy - Bicycle rental
Ojojona The municipality of Ojojona is located 34km south of the city of Tegucigalpa, MDC. It is considered cultural heritaje, and it offers an interesting variety of handycrafts, elaborated and hand painted by the same inhabitants of the town. Things you Can do: * Visit to the Scaro Metal Cross * Hike through the town of Ojojona where you can buy Honduran Crafts * Tasting Honduran Food

''El Centro'' The historic Headquarter of our country, where you can take a walk on the pedestrian street to reach the famous Cathedral and for our delight we are received with the statue of our greatest hero, the General, Francisco Morazan. It also has the church with largest history in the country. Nothing better to know the people of the country. Physical Activity in the Olympic Villa Founded in 1989. Hiking in " Las Golondrinas" "Las Golondrinas" is located in the community of Valle de Angeles, is part of La Tigra National Park, in former times was considered a mining area. In the tour you can admire a cultural recreation where you can see the vestiges of what were the furnaces of the mines (where it was melted silver and yew), cyanide mountains and large trails surrounded by trees and an unparalleled beauty of flora and fauna that are born in this beautiful place.
