Where are you from? Newcastle

Main Costume? Harvey Two Face version 1

Other costumes you have/do?

I have Two versions of The Joker with a third in the making for a fan film. This is a darker version inspired by the deleted Joker scene from The Batman. I also have another Two Face. This time with a more detailed approach to the head as I wanted to show a bald side other than my own receding hair line lol. I also have a Marvel Sandman from Spider-man in the making and also Doctor Octopus.

Are you part of any costuming groups? I’m not actually. Other than a few Facebook groups. It would be nice to have a group to go around to conventions with.

Maybe DC Villains group. That would be so cool.

How did you get into costuming/ cosplay?

After attending a Comic con at The Metro arena. I was so blown away by the ingenuity and imagination of those there. So I gave it a go and found a love for it.

What was your first ever costume/ cosplay? My first ever really would have been when I was a kid. I had an Ewok costume with spear.

How often do you go to events or cons in costume/cosplay?

Two a year but at the moment, hopefully will be attending more this year and much bigger ones too. As I have many fellow cosplayers that I hope to meet as we live very far apart.

What has been your favourite costuming moment so far? For me it was working on my Doctor Octopus cosplay which will be out later this year. It isn’t quite finished yet but seeing all the issues that iv had with the arms finally overcome has been a real joy as I was doubtful it would end up finished.

Do you make your own costumes or is it bought? I make my own. I’d buy an outfit maybe. For example the Joker was all bought as its normal clothing as with the suit for Two Face. Yet they will be altered. Doctor Octopus was all made as would any costume that is a bit out there. The Two Face suit was all burnt up and painted and the mask and face made up from a silicon face, bald caps and paint work with a wig. Or rather half.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to get into costuming/cosplay?

Great question. Pick a character you are passionate about and literally go for it. It doesn’t matter if its poor to start with or isn’t what you’d hoped for. Live and enjoy the experience of planning it, creating it and taking it out there for everyone and yourself to enjoy. Learn from any mistakes and develop you skill set and your love for cosplay further. Create your own character and personality through it all.
