Surface Constant evolution and guaranteed safety. Through years of intense research and development of new technologies, NEODENT has reached the current state-of-the-art in treating the surface of implants, the NeoPoros surface. Based on an abrasive particle jet concept, followed by acid subtraction, the NeoPoros surface promotes, through the use of controlled grain oxides, cavities in the implant surface, which are then made uniform by the acid subtraction (SLA) technique. The whole surfacing process is guaranteed by the automated control of time, speed, pressure and particle size. Several ongoing scientific studies to ensure that the NeoPoros surface is in constant evolution, providing you with greatly increased safety, are on go.

Scanning Electron Microsope Imaging of NeoPoros surface in different regions of Drive CM implant.

08

Scanning Electron Microscope imaging of NeoPoros surface in 2000x and 3000x magnifications. Controlled roughness to ensure pore size between 2.5 and 5.0Îźm through the whole implant surface.

Histological study of bone tissue response in contact with Morse Taper Implants with NeoPoros surface. Research conducted at the Bauru University Dentistry School in SĂŁo Paulo, as well as the Santa Catarina Federal University, and the Chieti-Pescara University in Italy.

09

acqua :: Hydrophilic Surface; :: Greater surface energy; :: Greater bone neoformation potential.

10

Acqua Acqua surface is obtained through a physiochemical process that provides an increase in the implant’s superficial energy, clinically resulting in a spreading of blood throughout the implant. NeoPoros

There is not only a reduction in the contact angle between liquid and surface and an increase in the titanium superficial energy, but also an advancement of stages in the bone matrix formation process, when compared to the NeoPoros surface**.

Contact angle > 30° (Hydrophobic Surface) NEOPOROS

Contact angle < 5° (Super-hydrophilic Surface) ACQUA

* Research conducted at the Mechanical Projects Laboratory at the Uberlandia Federal University School of Mechanical Engineering. ** Research conducted at the Dentistry Research Center – Biomechanics, Biomaterials and Cellular Biology at the Uberlandia Federal University Dentistry School and at the Bone & Mineralization Lab., University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA.

CM Implants with Prosthetic Index

The hex prosthetic index streamlines the implant Instalation process, reduces surgery times, increases insertion torque resistance and allows the dentistry professional to install the prosthesis already foreseeing the crown positioning in relation to the implant, allowing for increased safety, speed and versatility in clinical and lab procedures.

Implant Capture and Transport Specific drivers to the implant’s hex prosthetic index, available for contra-angle, allow the capture of implants directly from the package. Replacing legacy assemblers with these Drivers ensures greater torque resistance, higher speed and safety to the procedure.

Each implant Instalation must be initiated with the contra-angle Drivers (whether in contraangle or adapted to the digital driver for contra-angle connections – C.A.). When the implant is thus secured, the contra-angle driver should be replaced by the torque ratchet drivers to place the implant in the planned position. This procedure preserves both the contra-angle driver and the contra-angle bearings themselves, extending their life expectancy and preventing contra-angle drivers from locking inside the contra-angles.

Drivers Instalation drivers have six marks that coincide with the six flat sides of the implant’s hex prosthetic index. Upon Instalation, one of the driver marks should be in the vestibular position, in order to streamline the later prosthetic procedure.

20

CM Exact Line Besides a single CM interface for all implant diameters except for the WS and Zygomatic, CM implants now welcome another Abutments line, the EXACT LINE. These Abutmentes include, at the end of the cone, a hex index that allows positioning the prosthesis over the implant (prostethic indexing), adding even more versatility to the Morse Taper Line.

Conventional or Exact Abutments

Only conventional Abutments

Index Implant Versatility CM Implants with Prosthetic Index remain compatible with the entire CM prosthetic Abutments line which you are already familiar with, however the Exact line is compatible only with index CM implants.

CAD/CAM System

:: NEODENT and 3SHAPE PARTNERSHIP The 3shape scanner is the first step to use the Neoshape system, which has the accuracy of laser scanning as one of its highlights. With it, a Prosthesis Technician can scan impression models or Castables and, through a simple 3D modeling software, create pieces in a simple and intuitive way. Scanners D700, D500 e D810 provide micrometric precision by performing a laser reading on three different axes with no human contact. Professionals that purchase the system are provided with world-class tech support by the company and all technical information for the product to be used properly.

:: DENTAL DESIGNER SOFTWARE The Dental Designer software is versatile and intuitive. Its tools are straightforward and allow the handling of prosthetic structure drawings in a quick and efficient way. It allows customized anatomic adjustments such as: cementing space, coping width, adding or removing virtual waxing, abutment customization, among many others. As all planning happens virtually, the waste of time and materials is reduced.

132

:: NEODENT MILLING CENTER The milling process begins after a virtual image (previously designed by the prosthesis technician through the Dental Designer software) is sent to the CAM software, which will mathematically define the angles and axes to be designed on the material in order to reach a result exactly the same as planned. • micrometric adaptation; • optimization of production time; • automation of manual labor: virtual waxing; • laser scanning technology: accuracy and speed; • 5 axes milling: production faithful to CAD drawing; • raw materials with proven sources and quality.

Digital planning of high complexity dental prosthesis

:: AVAILABLE MATERIALS: - Cobalt-Chromium: ideal for metal-ceramic prosthesis. - Titanium: Recommended material for infrastructure in hybrid prosthesis. - Zircon: Aesthetics, high resistance, bio-compatibility. - E-max® CAD: Translucent, resistant, aesthetic, and easy to use.

133

The Neoshape System comprises new industry technologies to ensure the accuracy and quality in pHandleucing several prosthetic techniques available in the marketplace. This news widens horizons, offering excellence, adaptation, precision and aesthetics in a customized way with digital planning.

The Neoshape system offers, along with its 3D modeling software, an extensive library of prosthetic interfaces, allowing the prosthetic to pHandleuce customized structures over any Neodent implant or prosthetic abutment, with the same quality and adaptation accuracy of a standard abutment.

With that, the prosthesis technician uses the computer screen to plan in three dimensions all aesthetic and functional details of different prosthetic resolutions in common lab tasks.

Regardless of the material chosen to pHandleuce the prosthesis, the mechanical properties and quality warranty are reassured by world-class quality and controlled source raw materials, reinforcing our ethical commitment.

After the virtual waxing is completed, a digital file is forwarded online to the Neodent Milling Center. There, the information received from each case is managed. Next, the file is forwarded to state-of-the-art equipment that accurately repHandleuce the 3D drawings through milling, ensuring a precise adaptation and finishing.

STERILIZATION

Sterilize on the day before or the day of the procedure. We recommend, preferentially, the sterilization method by steam autoclaving, including the parameters and procedures set forth in regulation BS EN ISO 17665-1: Sterilization of health care products. Moist heat. Requirements for the development, validation and routine control of a sterilization process for medical devices; or to proceed according to the autoclave manufacturer’s instruction manual. WARNING: KITS ARE DAMAGED IF SEALED WITH DUCT TAPE. DO NOT STERILIZE POLYMER PRODUCTS USING STOVE. STERILIZATION PERIOD: 7 to 15 days, if stored in a clean, dry environment protected from sunlight.

CLEANING

Neodent Kits and Surgical Instruments must be properly cleaned after each use. Do not leave them in contact with humidity for long periods. 1st step: Disassemble parts (if applicable). 2nd step: Completely immerse the part in 10% enzymatic detergent solution. 3rd step: Wash in ultrasound cleaner for about 10 minutes. 4th step: Rinse with abundant distilled water to completely remove solution residues, even by brushing, if needed. 5th step: Dry with paper towels or air blower. 6th step: Perform a visual inspection to check for flaws in the cleaning process. If the part is dirty, it should be immersed again in detergent – steps 1 and 2 – and, if needed, clean with a nylon brush (repeat the rinse and dry sequence). 7th step: Select the package according to the sterilization process. Prefer self-sealing packages with surgical paper and film blade. IMPORTANT: Never store the material unless completely dry. Drying is extremely important to prevent oxidation. WARNING: Do not use (nonenzymatic) descaler products, as they tend to darken parts and also cause oxidation. The use of enzymatic fluid in higher concentration than 10%, as well as drying parts that contain residual cleaning solution, favors oxidation and should be avoided.

Operation Instructions

The Neodent Torque Ratchet was designed to allow the necessary torque to be applied and simultaneous verification of that torque with the same Instrument.

All that is needed is to apply force to the RATCHET Handle 1 (never the ratchet body) until the value marked on the LATERAL SCALE 2 corresponds to the desired torque. The Neodent Torque Ratchet comes with pre-calibrated torques: 10, 20, 32, 45 and 60 N.cm. The ratchet function works in both directions, by simply pulling and turning the driver’s pin 180°. However, the torque measurements work only clockwise.

•WARNING: When inverting the torque direction,

the gear may come loose from the driver body and fall. Therefore, this inversion should only be done with the driver connected to a part or outside the patient’s mouth.

OSSTELL ISQ FEATURES: OSTELL ISQ is a portable equipment that applies Ressonance Frequency Analysis to measure the stability of dental implants and perform bone integration monitoring. The system includes the use of a SmartPeg, which is attached to the implant or abutment. The SmartPeg is excited by measuring probe magnetic impulses, which generate a ressonance frequency in response, used to calculate the implant stability value in the equipment. The higher this value, the higher the implant stability. The Osstell kit is composed of an equipment, probe, power supply, testing device, SmartPeg assembler, USB cable, AC plug, user manual (SmartPegs are sold separately).
