La NEOS

NEOS – giornalisti di viaggio associati – è un’associazione italiana di giornalisti e fotogiornalisti di viaggi, fondata nel 1998, con sede a Milano. Il nome è un acronimo formato dalle iniziali dei quattro punti cardinali e simboleggia il lavoro dei soci NEOS, cioè viaggiare per il mondo e descriverlo con parole e immagini. I soci della NEOS lavorano per testate italiane e straniere. NEOS promuove una distinzione netta fra promozione e informazione, quindi l’associazione non può accettare giornalisti coinvolti in attività di PR o che lavorano per uffici stampa. In questo annuario ogni socio ha una sua scheda professionale che trovate arricchita sul sito NEOS (www.neosnews.it), strumento imprescindibile per la conoscenza di NEOS, dei suoi soci e della sua attività. Il sito contiene anche un magazine con brevi report di viaggio, tutti realizzati dai soci.

The name of NEOS comes from the initials of the cardinal points of the compass (Nord-Est- Ovest-Sud) and symbolizes the work of NEOS members, who travel all over the world and describe it using both words and images. NEOS members work as a staff writers or contributors and freelance for the most important magazines, web publications, newspapers. NEOS does not accept journalists involved with PR and press offices and adopts strict rules in order to insure the high professional standards of its members.
