CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS Training Course:

Quality label for youth work providers As part of the Strategic partnership for youth:

Youth Work Recognition with Self-Assessment and Accreditation [ 2014-2-UK01-KA205-012161 ]

13th -19th of March 2017 Mavrovo, Macedonia


The Training Course is being implemented under the KA2 project: “Youth Work Recognition with SelfAssessment and Accreditation”. The project is being implemented by partners: Centre for Intercultural Dialogue (CID, Macedonia), Institute for Policy Research and Analysis (Lithuania), OPPORTUNITY (UK),. It will gather 16 participants for 5 days, in Macedonia. The training course on quality label for youth work providers, aims to build capacity of youth workers and decision-makers to conduct assessment of the quality of provided youth work in a specific entity. Partners: Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organization that works on national level in Macedonia. The Centre for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) is civil society organization working to promote intercultural acceptance and active citizenship through capacity building processes, education and youth work. The organization is youth-led thus our work focuses on many aspects which are of interest for young people: from provision of services and information, to research and support for policy-making and networking. OpportUNITY is a Non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation with an aim to inspire, support and empower young people. This is achieved through the three themes of promoting, education and training in healthier lifestyles and greater social cohesion. It delivers programmes in Youth Development, Youth Leadership, Citizenship and Youth Education. It also promotes learning through diversionary and informal activities such as sport, media and creative or performing arts. Institute for Policy research and analysis cooperates closely with Lithuanian Council of Youth NGOs (LiJOT), youth NGOs and NGOS working in the field of Human Rights education, Ministry of Social security and Labor and Department of Youth affairs, numerous municipalities in Lithuania. Besides, they have launched initiative of Lithuanian youth researchers network, which is now gaining pan-Baltic dimension. Participants must be citizens or residents of those countries, at least 18 years of age.

Background IDEA OF THE SEMINAR: The training course “Quality label for youth work providers” will be the third training activity implemented as part of the KA2 project “Youth Work Recognition with Self-Assessment and Accreditation”. The project will use mostly materials developed from the previous activities (training on models and tools for self-assesment, and a study visit on different approaches to youth work and youth work recognition in Lithuania) and the book developed on “Comparison of youth work recognition and toolbox of recognition”, and will focus on building competences to youth work providers to properly asses the quality of the youth work they are providing. METHODOLOGY:

The programme of the training will be in the framework of non-formal education, using an interactive and participative approach.

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:

The target group of the project are youth leaders and workers working directly with young people (especially with fewer opportunity youth), representatives of partner organizations, youth policy and youth work stakeholders. We will host 5 participants from each project country.

PARTNERS RESPONSIBILITIES: 路 Find and Commit five participants fitting the profile for the training 路 Prepare selected participants for the Training Course 路 Ensure participants are present at the training course (100% attendance in all sessions are compulsory) 路 Reimburse participants travel up to maximum amount which is 275 EUR per person

WORKING LANGUAGE The course will be held in English. In order to adapt the course to the actual language needs of participants; all participants will be requested to have sufficient understanding of the working language.

DATES AND VENUE

Before applying to be part of the team it is highly important that you realistically see if you are available for all the dates indicated below. Arrange your travel itineraries to Skopje, within the budget, and local travel will be provided additionally by the orgnisers (CID). Also please consult with us before booking your tickets.
