An initiative of the Department for Communities, Creativity Month is held to stimulate new thinking and help creative people, creative ideas and creative businesses emerge and flourish. Creativity Month 2017 will showcase the work of a diverse range of organisations, across government, business, education and the community and voluntary sectors, who are developing creative and innovative solutions to societal challenges. An annual competition open to Fine Art and Photography graduates from Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland, the JTPA gives emerging photographers the experience and profile of a gallery show at the prestigious Stills Gallery in Edinburgh and now at Nerve Visual — the first gallery in Northern Ireland to present the JTPA exhibition, alongside a programme of photography workshops and events.

The _maker collective from Dublin will walk attendees through how to build a fuzz distortion pedal. The workshops are aimed at beginners to D.I.Y. electronics and cover all the essential skills that will allow you to create your own electronic instruments and effects for you to take home and love!
Nerve Centre Derry~Londonderry Makeshop and FabLab Nerve Centre will run a series of workshops which will present a practical, easy to understand introduction to the fields of robotics and electronics in a way rarely available. These events provide hands on experience of robotics and engineering, allowing young people to create their very own robot, LED torch and electronic dice.
Collaborate Derry March 3 - 31 Celtronic Studios Derry~Londonderry A series of recording projects featuring internationally renowned producers including Francesco Tristano, Mr C, Tom Middleton, Phil Kieran and The Cyclist collaborating with local producers, musicians and DJs. In addition to the skills exchange at the collaborative workshops, the aim is to produce a collection of new electronic music which will be performed at a music event in late March 2017.

Lego Robot Wars will see the Nerve Centre and FabLab working with teams of builders to design and create their own Lego Robots and test them to destruction in a Robot Wars showdown. Participants will learn how to design, build and programme their own Robots out of Lego and add attacking and defensive capabilities to them in pursuit of the title of LegenDerry Lego Robot 2017.
A series of free all-day maker workshops for all ages and all backgrounds. Themes include TV production, clay animation, music production and graphic design.
