Celebrating Art & Design

To coincide with the Turner Prize coming to Derry/Londonderry City of Culture, we have created an exhibition of GCE AS and A2 work by CCEA students. These students are commended for taking a contemporary and innovative approach, either through their use of media or through the concepts they chose to explore. The Art & Design programme includes: • an exhibition of the best contemporary approaches by GCE Art & Design students in 2013 When:

Tuesday 19 – Friday 22 November and Tuesday 26 – Friday 29 November

Celebrating Moving Image Arts

To celebrate a decade of excellent student film making, CCEA is proud to work in partnership with the Foyle Film Festival to profile the best work of 2013 and celebrate some of the finest films produced by Moving Image Arts students over the past 10 years. This day of free screenings will also include the annual Moving Image Arts awards presentation sponsored by City of Derry Crystal and will feature Q&As with film professionals. When:

The Moving Image Arts showcase day will include three sessions on Tuesday 26 November 2013: 10.00 am – 12.00 pm – a screening of ‘Lucky Seven’ (2011) followed by Q&A with German director Claudia Heindel 1.00 – 3.15 pm – the 2013 awards showcase and presentation 3.30 – 4.15 pm – a screening to celebrate 10 years of the best MIA student films
