JAMES FLYNN HOST JAMES FLYNN is one of Ireland’s most successful film producers winning awards for his work in both film and television. Movies produced by James include Angela's Ashes, Inside I’m Dancing, P.S. I Love You, The Secret Of Kells, and Calvary. James has worked extensively in television, as producer on The Tudors, Penny Dreadful, and Into The Badlands. James also produced the Oscar® nominated short film The Door (2008), which won the FFF LIM Award in 2008. James' latest film Greta stars Chloë Grace Moretz and Isabelle Huppert, and is directed by Neil Jordan.

BAFTA NOMINATED MAT WHITECROSS MAT WHITECROSS took home the Best Director prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 2006 for co-directing his first feature The Road to Guantanamo. His career has excelled with a string of critically-acclaimed works, including the Grierson award-winning Moving to Mars, the BAFTA nominated Ian Dury biopic Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and the Oasis documentary Supersonic. He has just released A Head Full of Dreams, an intimate portrait of Coldplay’s rise to fame.

CHRISTOPHER MYERS CHRISTOPHER MYERS has worked in short film since 2008, more recently moving into development and production for features. In 2016, he produced the Royal Television Award-winning We Are You short films. Christopher acted as Head of Production for the award-winning feature The Dig.

STUART DRENNAN STUART DRENNAN’S debut feature The Dig premiered at Toronto Film Festival. It won Best Film at Galway Film Fleadh and was nominated at the British Independent Film Awards 2018. Stuart has written and directed award-winning short films and television dramas, including BBC’s 6 Degrees.

BBC WRITERSROOM BBC WRITERSROOM is a cross-genre department for scripted content within the BBC. Based across five locations (Belfast, London, Salford, Glasgow and Cardiff), the aim is to discover, develop and champion the best new and experienced writing talent.

PETER COLLIS INITION PETER COLLIS is a multi-skilled innovator with INITION, a London-based experiential production house. Peter will introduce INITION’s journey into 360˚/3D film-making and showcase a selection of recent work. He will discuss the form as a new filmmaking format and the future implications for filmmakers. GARRY WALSH is an award-winning filmmaker with over 16 years’ experience in the film/theatrical industry, ten years of which was spent running one of Ireland’s most successful multiplex cinema chains. Gary is also an accomplished writer, currently working on a slate of projects for cinema and television.

ADAM H. STEWART is an awardwinning animator, director and editor. He graduated from the American Film Institute in California. He is a highly experienced production designer and visual effects artist and has worked for all the major Hollywood Studios as well as leading brand design agencies Landor and Bluemarlin in London.

COLM NICELL is an award-winning Director of Photography with over 12 years’ experience in the film and television industry. He has worked in Ireland, the UK and the Middle East for broadcasters such as RTE, BBC, ITV, CNN and Al Jazeera as a camera/lighting supervisor.

PHILIP HOILE BULLDOG FILMS PHILIP HOILE oversees theatrical and home entertainment activity at BULLDOG FILM DISTRIBUTION, an independent UK film distributor responsible for high quality titles including Margin Call and Night Train To Lisbon. Philip has over ten years’ experience across a wide range of film and entertainment product and release platforms through roles at Tartan, Icon and the award-winning marketing and publicity agency Organic. CARLO NERO DISSENT PROJECTS LTD CARLO NERO is an award-winning writer, director and producer. He co-wrote the screenplay for the action-crime film The Touch, and has directed the films Uninvited and The Fever, the latter starring his mother Vanessa Redgrave and Angelina Jolie. MAEVE MURPHY MAEVE MURPHY is an acclaimed screenwriter and director. In addition to her shorts, she has made three award-winning, theatrically released feature films including Taking Stock, which has won eight international festival awards. She is currently developing a feature biopic based on the love story between Shane MacGowan and Victoria Mary Clarke.

NUALA CUNNINGHAM NEW DECADE NUALA CUNNINGHAM is a producer and director with New Decade Films. Nuala produced the hard-hitting feature Capital Letters (about the illegal trafficking of a young African girl in modern Dublin), starring Ruth Negga. The festival marks the 15th Anniversary of the launch of the Moving image Arts (MIA) Showcase with the introduction of the MIA Student Programme.
